Best Tunisia experience ever

Salem from Mkbarki Travel Services is simply the best guide we have ever had in all our travels around the world. We spent eight days with him exploring almost all of Tunisia, from the cool weather in Tunis to the scorching heat of the desert. Even after all the trip arrangements, Salem went above and beyond to ensure every single detail was flawless. He was so detail-oriented that he even took care of minor things, like a tiny hotel charge for a bottle of water, just to make sure our departure was completely stress-free. He truly made all the difference. His flexibility was incredible. During the trip, we had some ideas to change our route, and he kindly adjusted everything to accommodate our wishes. He even arranged additional excursions, new hotels, and dinner reservations on the fly, which made our trip even more remarkable. His knowledge is truly outstanding. We are leaving Tunisia feeling like we earned a degree in Berber, Roman, Carthaginian, and Arab history! He is a very smart person who deeply cares about his country and wants the best for it. Traveling with children can be challenging, but Salem was incredibly nice, understanding, and respectful of everyone's time and pace at the attractions. We traveled partly by plane and mostly in his van, which was comfortable and in perfect condition. I also have to praise his driver, who was fantastic. He drove safely and calmly, and he even helped look after the kids when they got tired during some of the tours. This was one of the best trips of our lives, and I honestly wish Salem could be our guide everywhere else in the world. If you are planning a trip to Tunisia, reach out to him. He will create the perfect itinerary, arrange everything you need, and constantly surprise you with his politeness, understanding, and dedication to making your trip the best you have ever had!

Response from the operator: Dear Friend Tamega ! Thank you so much for your wonderful and heartfelt review. It truly means a great deal to me and to everyone at **Mbarki Travel Services**. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you and your family to Tunisia and to share our country's history, culture, and landscapes with you. Knowing that you enjoyed your journey—from Tunis to the Sahara Desert—and that the itinerary exceeded your expectations is the greatest reward for our work. Thank you for your kind words about my flexibility, attention to detail, and passion for Tunisia. I firmly believe that every trip should be tailored to each traveler, and I am delighted that the changes and additional experiences helped make your holiday even more memorable. I also sincerely appreciate your compliments about our driver. I will be sure to share your kind words with him, as he will be very happy to know that his professionalism and care contributed to such a positive experience for your family. It was a joy to travel with your children, and I am especially pleased that they felt comfortable throughout the tour. Creating unforgettable memories for families is always one of our greatest goals. Thank you once again for your trust and for recommending us to future travelers. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Tunisia one day to discover even more of its hidden treasures. We wish you and your family all the very best and hope to see you again in the near future. Warm regards,

Wonderful Trip Through Tunisia

Salem created a wonderful custom itinerary 8 day trip for the two of us. We had the best guide in Tunisia (hats off, Abdallah!) and a terrific, prompt, reliable, and safe driver (you did great, Faisal!). Abdallah was remarkably knowledgeable in both depth and breadth for all things Tunisia...all historical sites, current culture, food, all the way back to Berber times He knows EVERYBODY. Tunisia is a lovely country, and Salem, Abdallah, and Faisal are a wonderful way to explore and appreciate it...all with an eye on great value. Specific highlights include Keirouan mosque, El Jem, our night in the Sahara, the Bardo museum, and Dougga. Salem and Abdallah chose great hotels and dining experiences throughout. I highly recommend Salem and company for Tunisia travel.

Response from the operator: Dear Ingrid Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience with Mbarki Travel Services. It was truly our pleasure to organize your 8-day journey through Tunisia. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed every part of your trip and that Abdallah's knowledge and passion for Tunisia, together with Faisal's safe and professional driving, made your experience so memorable. Your kind words about the itinerary, the hotels, the restaurants, and the highlights of your tour—from Kairouan and El Jem to the Sahara, the Bardo Museum, and Dougga—mean a great deal to us. Knowing that you appreciated the beauty of Tunisia and the value of our services is the greatest reward for our team. Thank you once again for your trust and recommendation. It was an honor to welcome you to our country, and we hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again for another unforgettable adventure in Tunisia. With our sincere gratitude, Salem Mbarki Mbarki Travel Services

The history and glory of Tunisia

Excellent experience with exceptional service from Mbarki travel services. Mr. Salem tour planner, Mr. Hakim guide and driver Mr. Marwen with me all the time since landing and takeoff from Tunis. I felt safe all the time. It was an enlightening and enchanting experience of Carthrage, Roman, Byzantine, Islamic empires of Tunisia. Visit to Sahara and Berber house was spiritual. Tunisia is secular, modern islamic country. People of Tunisia are very kind, hospitable, welcoming and respectful of all other cultures. May God Bless the people of Tunisia.

Response from the operator: Dear Chikkha Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for sharing your experience with us. We are truly delighted to know that your journey through Tunisia was both enlightening and enchanting. It is especially rewarding to hear that you felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout your stay. Your kind words about Mr. Salem, Mr. Hakim, and Mr. Marwen mean a great deal to us. We will be honored to share your appreciation with them, as they are passionate about providing authentic experiences and exceptional service to our guests. We are pleased that you enjoyed discovering Tunisia's rich heritage—from the ancient civilizations of Carthage and the Roman and Byzantine eras to the Islamic landmarks, the Sahara Desert, and the traditional Berber villages. It is wonderful to know that the warmth, hospitality, and welcoming spirit of the Tunisian people left such a positive impression on you. Thank you once again for choosing us to be part of your Tunisian adventure. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future to discover even more of the beauty and culture of Tunisia. With our sincere gratitude and best wishes,

A different wonderful experience every day

An absolutely amazing trip, truly a different experience every day; from rich history and ancient ruins, the diverse Berber and Arab cultures, the Sahara, mountain oasis, it’s all there. Salem was an excellent guide, very experienced, knowledgeable and helpful; from working through the itinerary to the last day there. It was a real pleasure to see Tunisia with someone who truly knows and understands their country. If you want to get beyond the beaches and see the real beauty of Tunisia then this is it. When I return to Tunisia, because there is so much more to see, then it will be with Mbarki Travel and Salem.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your incredible experience! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the rich history, diverse cultures, and breathtaking landscapes of Tunisia. Salem Mbarki is indeed a fantastic guide, and it's wonderful to know he contributed to making your trip memorable. We'd be delighted to welcome you back for another adventure with Mbarki Travel Service. There's so much more to explore, and we can't wait to show you even more of Tunisia's hidden gems. An unforgettable and beautiful tour of Tunisia

Our 7 day guided Tunisia tour in January 2026 was amazing. The Punic, Carthaginian, Roman, etc. sites were incredible and so well preserved in spite of earthquakes, wars, time, etc. However, the best part of the trip was our tour guide, Salem, who always made sure we were in the right places at the right time, explaining everything to us in details, historically and symbolically, beginning with the beautiful Nardo Museum, which is a must, and proceeding on to all the other sites, including arranging us to have bread made in the Sahara by a blue-eyed Berber, the original people of North Africa, staying in a cave hotel, on and on, everything went as planned. Salem was not only a regular guide, but a friend and erudite. We will never forget him and recommend friends to book with him since he speaks fluently Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Our driver most of the trip, Marwen, was also exceptional. With him we communicated in French. In conclusion, I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see incredible history, amazing historic sites, great cuisine, and friendly people. Thanks a million Salem!

Response from the operator: Dear Lemiel, Thank you so much for your heartfelt message about your recent tour in Tunisia. We are thrilled to hear that your experience was amazing and that the historical sites left a lasting impression on you. Your kind words about Salem mean the world to us. It's wonderful to know that he not only guided you through the incredible past of Tunisia but also became a friend throughout your journey. His dedication to his guests truly enhances the travel experience. We’re also glad to hear that Marwen contributed to making your trip memorable with his exceptional driving and communication in French. Your recommendation means a lot, and we appreciate you sharing your experience with others. We hope you hold onto these memories for a lifetime and perhaps consider returning for more adventures in the future. Thanks again, and best wishes! Warm regards,

07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tunis.

How much does 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental cost?

+

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tunis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental take?

+

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tunis is not rushed.

Is 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tunis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental?

+

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tunis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tunis and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 07 -Guided day Tour Tunisia Monumental start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tunis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tunis?

+

On Outty we rank every Tunis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Walking Tour through the Medina of Tunis(Pay what you want), Private tour: Medina,Carthage ,Sidi Bou Said, Bardo Museum+lunch, Private Tour to Kairouan, El Jem & Monastir from Tunis_hammamet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tunis?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tunis?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
