2 days in Barcelona
We had a great 2 days exploring Barcelona with Kimberly! We got to know all the different neighborhoods and learned and experienced the city’s unique culture, cuisine, and geography! Kimberly was knowledgeable, kind, and fun!

Great walking tour of Barcelona
Kimberly was awesome! We found her through a Facebook group recommendation and decided to book her for a day. Communications with her were super easy; she asked us a few questions to help plan the day and was very flexible with us, especially since we had a 5-year old in our group. She took us to Park Guell, the Gothic Quarter and Born, giving us a ton of great history and interesting tidbits that really helped provide some context to what we were seeing around the city. Her passion for history really shows and she presented the information in a really engaging manner to keep everyone interested. She gave us breaks when we wanted them and really catered the day to our interests and limitations. We did bring a stroller for our daughter, which was very key in allowing us to walk all those hours! We really enjoyed our day with Kimberly and highly recommend her!

WHAT A GEM!
Kimberly was a gem from the first moment we started planning our trip! She was gracious to map around another small group tour we’d set up that included the Gothic area. Such thoughtful consideration of all our stops, shopping, and meals helped us to feel the community aspect of Barcelona. We enjoyed seeing all 4 neighborhoods and especially loved Born. She provided fascinating insights and captivating stories about the various festivals and rich history of Barcelona. While there were no festivals while we were there, seeing the giants up close was so special! Her ability to connect historical events with present-day contexts left us with such an appreciation for the city's rich heritage. We have a friend in Barcelona, not just a private guide! She was so flexible we even broke for a siesta and then resumed our tour. She stopped into a few local shops for us to make some purchases, lovely local shops, the oldest roaster, and Christmas ornaments with a very funny story! I’m still enjoying the candy and the roasted almonds we brought home. We would love to go back to Barcelona again and there is only one person I would call - KIMBERLY!

All the stars! excellent!!
My family spent two days with Kimberly at the end of May touring Barcelona and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. She was wonderful to work with leading up to our trip and we got to see so much of Barcelona and Catalan culture in just two short days. Kimberly was the perfect guide for our family and was excellent with our three girls ages 5,7,10. We were not stuck to a strict schedule and had plenty of time to explore and take in the experience. My girls only wish we had more time with her!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend cost?
+
Prices start at $550 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Barcelona Highlights with a Local Friend start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
