Basic Shuttle bus service, nothing more.

It’s basically a shuttle bus and nothing more. This tour was subcontracted out. There were 35 passengers on board, picked up at two stops - banff train station and lake Louise village. There seemed to be passengers on board that were not from viatour. The van had no viatour identification, nor marked with the name given for the Tour Operator stated on the ticket. We were more than 15 minutes early as requested but the bus arrived 5 minutes before departure time. It would have been easy to miss the correct bus because there were a few different buses at the station for that departure time. The driver made no announcements whatsoever at the first stop (to pick up more passengers) leaving those on board confused. Many complained. The bus was a basic Blue Bird bus - like a school bus not painted yellow, rather more like prison bus white. I was expecting more of a tour experience but it was just a shuttle.

Severe Delay and Lack of Notice and overpriced

The shuttle came late around 9:45. There was no way of knowing when they were coming or if there was an issue. No email/text notification. As I was calling the viator company, that was when the bus came. We left around 10Am but ticket said 9:30 Am. Also, there were no signs of viator or anything like that on the walls/bus while other bus companies had their logo. You can find cheaper bus transportation if you shop around. We paid $60 for each person.

It was very bad...

It was very bad experience we were waiting at the meeting point and operator didn’t show up. He didn’t pick our call and customer service call. They said no to schedule another time tour. Overall it was very bad experience we came from Ontario and didn’t get chance to see best lacks of banff. It feels like a scam because they are not ready to help us.

A scam means there was no tour, no vehicle, no guests, no operation, and we all vanished into the Rockies with a suitcase full of refund requests and dramatic background music. That is not what happened here. Our shuttle operates on a fixed schedule, at a fixed meeting point, with fixed departure times. This is not a private limousine, not a personal rescue mission, and definitely not a magical Banff teleportation service where the bus appears wherever someone thinks they might be standing. If a guest is not at the correct pickup point at the correct time, the bus cannot hold the entire tour hostage while we launch “Operation Find Tanvi” across Banff National Park. Other guests arrived correctly, boarded correctly, and expected the tour to run on time — which is exactly what a professional operator is supposed to do. Also, let’s clarify the photo situation before Red gets handed a 1-star review like an unwanted souvenir keychain. The person in the photo is Red. Red is one of the most reliable, popular, and highly praised tour guides in Banff. Red is not Abdul, and Red does not deserve to be blamed for a situation that does not appear to involve him. The word “scam” being used in a review that appears to blame the wrong guide is honestly the comedy special of the day. Before accusing a real local operator of fraud, the review should at least arrive at the correct person, correct meeting point, and correct facts. We understand you came from Ontario and were disappointed to miss Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. They are beautiful lakes, and we want every guest to experience them. But missing the scheduled pickup does not turn a legitimate tour company into a scam. It means the schedule moved forward as published for the guests who were present. We take real guest concerns seriously. What we cannot do is rewrite the laws of time, geography, and shared transportation because someone missed the bus and then tried to promote the word “scam” to main character status. Thank you, and we hope your next Banff adventure arrives at the correct location, at the correct time, with the correct guide named in the review. Red did not earn this 1-star souvenir, and the “scam” scanner needs recalibration

Worst experience

We arrived at meeting point but no one came to pick up. It is the worst experience as we were calling and texting them for an hour but didn’t get any response. They have wasted our half day of the trip and then we have to book another shuttle service.

If guests are not at the correct pickup location at the correct time, the vehicle cannot delay the entire tour while we launch a one-hour phone-and-text rescue mission across Banff. Other guests who arrive correctly and on time expect the tour to depart as scheduled. That is not “worst experience” service — that is how scheduled transportation works. We understand it is frustrating to miss Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, especially when you planned your day around it. But missing the scheduled pickup does not mean nobody operated, nobody came, or that the company wasted your trip. It usually means there was a mismatch between the guest’s location, timing, or pickup instructions and the actual scheduled departure. Calling and texting for an hour after the pickup window does not rewind the bus back to the meeting point. Unfortunately, Banff shuttles do not come with a time machine, a private detective, or a helicopter search team. We take real operational concerns seriously, but reviews should also be fair, accurate, and based on the full situation. Our tours run for the guests who follow the confirmed pickup instructions and arrive on time.
