    Negative experience

I was messaged 10 pm night before that I was the only passenger for the tour and it was cancelled. I was told i could cancel but it was already 10 pm and i could not book anything for the next day so I went to the meeting point and joined the bus but it turned out that there was a family of 3 who had the same tour booked and was told the same. We followed the driver to Bangf who dropped us off at a local bus stop to reach gondola and we planned our day in Banff on our own. He picked me up at the meeting point around 8 pm to bring back to calgary after the was done with the tour . This was 1 st ever negative experience with Viator over years. 1. Problem 1. Late notification of cancellation 2. Wrong info i was the only passenger and they could not operate the tour ( there were 3 other people). 3 poor tome planning .

    Very good guide. We...

Very good guide. We visited several sites that we would have not visited otherwise on our own. The guide was also flexible with our Banff visit where he separated the group in two: gondola and Banff town for those that did not want to go to the gondola.

    Communication could be better.

Don’t count on getting picked up on scheduled time and getting communicated with about changes. We were picked up two hours late and my family started our trip so negatively, they regretted coming. The only pluses was our guide was excellent. Viator said they emailed us of pickup change, but I still can’t find any such email. We got up at 6:00am but weren’t picked up not until near 10:00am. This really deserved a prior call so we could have Rested after a long flight. My family was not happy until our guide made up for it by being so good.

First time and not the last time

Inder was very hospitable. He was also very understanding when I can do our timings from location to location. I have a 5-year-old and so we always try to stick to the timeline but we were always a few minutes over our meet up times and still found a way to make it home on time. It's an amazing experience to go on this tour and I recommend it again!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that you had an amazing experience on the tour. It’s especially great to know that Inder’s hospitality and understanding made your trip comfortable and enjoyable, particularly while traveling with your child. We truly appreciate your recommendation and your kind words. We hope to welcome you again in the future.

Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.

How much does Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $73 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Banff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.

Is Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Banff: Gondola, Hot Spring and Three Lakes Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Banff?

    +

On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Icefields Parkway Full-Day Tour, Hop-On and Hop-Off Banff Bus, ShuttleBus 2way Banff to Lake Louise (1Hr) and Moraine Lake (1Hr). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Banff?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Banff?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
