Disappointing: Itinerary changed

The tour I booked and Viator repeatedly confirmed was different than experienced. The main stop on the itinerary I looked forward to (2- hour stop with hike to waterfalls) wasn’t on driver’s list, so we didn’t do it. Instead, we saw 3 lakes that weren’t part of original itinerary and we weren’t interested to see. Viator or local tour never informed me of change. Very disappointing! The driver was just that. A driver. And with a heavy accent that was hard to understand. He didn’t describe or act as a tour guide. Expected he’d have a microphone so everyone could hear when he did speak. Poor time management, inability to hear or understand or learn from driver, itinerary change made overall experience disappointing.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
