Above and Beyond—The Perfect Anniversary Day with Exceptional Private Tour!

My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in July 2026, and Daniel and Erik made it an unforgettable day! I coordinated with Daniel ahead of time to set up a customized itinerary, and everything went seamlessly. Erik picked us up directly from our hotel in Centro Histórico and brought us to our very first hot air balloon ride—which was breathtaking and surprisingly smooth! Afterward, he took us to explore the Teotihuacán pyramids at our own pace. Since it was our second time visiting, we preferred to wander without a guide, and Erik was incredibly patient and accommodating with our timeline. To top it all off, he took us to a fantastic local restaurant for lunch. They truly went above and beyond to make our milestone anniversary extra special. I highly recommend their team!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for celebrating such a special milestone with us! It was truly an honor to be part of your 30th wedding anniversary, and we're delighted to hear that Daniel and Erik helped make it an unforgettable experience. We're so glad you enjoyed your hot air balloon flight, had the freedom to explore Teotihuacán at your own pace, and finished the day with a great local meal. Creating personalized experiences that fit each guest's interests is exactly what we strive for. Thank you for your trust and for your kind recommendation. We wish you both many more happy years together, and we hope to welcome you back to Mexico for another memorable adventure!

Exceeded expectations. Worth every penny and then some!

This tour exceeded our expectations. Not only were we able to be picked up from our AirBnB (for an additional reasonable price), we had a delicious Mexican breakfast which was included and unlimited food and non alcoholic drinks. We went to a market where a guide talked to us and showed us how agave becomes fiber, different alcoholic drinks to try (unlimited samples). Then the hot air balloon ride was very safe, fun, professional, and worth every penny! They had professional photographers who took pics and drone videos for an additional cost. Plus we were able to pay extra to have our driver wait while we toured the archeological site. They even bought our tickets for us for no additional fee.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review! We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the full experience, from the breakfast and tastings to the balloon ride and Teotihuacán visit. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we truly appreciate your trust and kind words. We hope to see you again soon for another adventure in Mexico.

Top Experience

Very nice ballooning experience above the pyramids, I recommend 👍 Many thanks to Daniel, our guide, who was really nice from start to finish. He picked us up from the hotel, took the time to explain everything and accompany us throughout the activity. We felt confident. He also found us a guide, Ani, whom I also recommend: very nice, pleasant and professional. Little more we really liked: the local breakfast after the flight, prepared by grannies, simple, authentic and super good. Frankly, a complete and well-organized experience.

Response from the operator: Un grand merci pour votre commentaire !

Unforgettable experience

I’m not a “typical tourist” type of thing, but this... something else. Being on top of the globe watching the sun rise over Teotihuacan puts you in another mood. Everything was very smooth since Daniel helped us coordinate. Zero stress, just enjoy. It's one of those experiences that sticks with you.

Response from the operator: Brutal leer esto, neta. Justo esa es la idea, que se olviden del estrés y solo vivan el momento. Gracias por confiar en nosotros y por dejar que Daniel armara la experiencia. Teotihuacán desde el aire no se olvida jamás.

The best experience at Teotihuacán

Worth every second I almost skipped this because of the early start, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences of our trip. Watching the balloons rise at sunrise and then floating over Teotihuacan is just unreal, calm, quiet, and honestly hard to describe. Daniel kept everything simple and well organized from the beginning, so the whole experience felt smooth and stress-free. Definitely something I’d recommend doing at least once in your life.

Response from the operator: Hard to beat an experience like that. Sunrise over Teotihuacan has something special, and it’s great to hear it ended up being one of the highlights of your trip. We always aim to keep things simple and smooth so you can just enjoy the moment, so it’s really good to know it felt that way for you. Definitely one of those memories that stays with you. You’re always welcome back.

Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva cost?

+

Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Balloon flight Teotihuacan + Pick Up in CDMX + Breakfast in Cueva start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
