It is important to consider that all times are approximate, as they may vary slightly for traffic or weather conditions. Also, ballooning depends on wind currents, so it is not 100% guaranteed to fly directly over the archaeological area. However, in 90% of the cases we did manage to do it, and it always provides a spectacular view of the Teotihuacan Valley. Thank you for living this experience with us. Accommodating and Kind Staff
There were so many pros to this experience, which made the slight hiccups non-important. The communication about pick up was super clear and our driver was already outside at our 4:30am call time. We picked up a couple other folks on the way, some who were doing other tours. We were taken care of the entire day with staff checking us in, driving us to the hot air balloon spot, taking us to breakfast, and taking us on a small tour of the Mercado artisinal in Teotihuacan. There was always someone at the ready to guide us to the next step. Every person we talked to was incredibly kind and patient, which is why the hiccups weren’t a big deal. The balloon we were originally supposed to fly in ended up not being cleared, so we had to move to a different balloon in a different field and took off later in the morning that originally anticipated. The new pilot did a surprise second takeoff for us, which was incredibly kind. So the balloon we did all the pictures and videos with wasn’t the one we ended up riding, which again isn’t a big deal. The drone video that was shot was short because of the balloon change, but we didn’t intend on buying it, so again, no big deal. However, because of the unforeseen changes, they sent us our video for free which was so kind, especially because they weren’t at fault and couldn’t control any of it. The breakfast was special, being in a cave, although the food options were limited to enchiladas, chilaquiles, or huevos al gusto. The tour was amazing! Overall it was a great experience, and I’m so happy we did it!

Amazing Experience Overall
This experience was really fun and highly recommend. When there was an issue with riding the hot air balloon, they solved it right away and did not let it ruin our experience. I appreciated the kindness and hospitality shown by the crew. If you are thinking about it, I say do it!

We had a great time! Our guide, Luis, was so genuinely kind and cared so much about our experience. He was so attentive to our needs, and it was great to have him as a friendly face in between each part of this experience. This is a highlight of our trip in Mexico City!

New Year's Day Memories!
Do not miss this! We had an amazing experience! It's an early morning, but well worth it to see all of the balloons and the pyramids! Wear warm clothes and be sure to bring a scarf/hoodie and gloves. They do sell some at the launch site for a reasonable price. We had 16 people in our basket and out pilot did a great job of turning the balloon often so everyone could take great pics! Our driver, Karim, was excellent, too! The cave breakfast was just ok, but we appreciated being fed so we could enjoy the rest of the stops. Make sure you check out the archaeological site to see the pyramids up close! We will never forget how we spent the first day of 2026!
