21 peoples in balloon, even no space to take photo, 0 star.

All of other balloons carried 4-6 people, our balloon carried 20 people excluding the pilot. Each section of the balloon had 5 people, it was extremely crowded and difficult to take photos, and even though we bought the drone package, the videos turned out badly because it was so crowded.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear that the flight wasn't what you expected in terms of comfort and space for taking photos. We fully understand how this may affect the experience. We'd like to point out that the capacity of each balloon is not determined by a fixed number of people, but rather by the total weight, for safety reasons. Occasionally, this may result in balloons with more passengers, always within safe limits. We appreciate your feedback regarding space and visibility, especially in relation to the drone package. We will take it into account to continue improving and provide a more comfortable experience for all our passengers.

The food got me sick

My fiancé and I went to Mexico and purchased the entire experience, including the breakfast buffet. The fly experience was great, but the food made us very sick. The health conditions at the breakfast buffet were not good. They placed a plastic liner between the chafer's tray and the food so the heat of the sternos reacted with the plastic, contaminating the food. I contacted them to let them know about this experience. They contacted me and offered to cover the medical bill or compensate the cost of the video and photo package. I agreed, and they did not contact me again after all. I hope they will take my bad experience and fix all the issues I commented on for future visitors!

Response from the operator: We are sorry to hear about your experience. It is unfortunate that the quality and safety of the food was not up to standard and that your subsequent communication did not result in a resolution. We will take your feedback to improve the service for future guests. Thank you for sharing your experience.

no recomiendo esta experiencia / I do not recommend this experience.

I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience on January 1st with Sky Balloons. We booked three tickets for a hot air balloon ride, but my mother, who is 67 years old, fell ill and could not attend. Despite notifying them early in the morning, we were charged for all three tickets. The customer service was inadequate. The last person who called us at the phone number +525580972716 was rude and justified themselves with lies, offering us no solutions. While we understand that there were logistical changes, we noticed that all the baskets accommodated four people, so we don’t see how they would have fitted one more. Additionally, in the vehicle that picked us up after landing, we had to squeeze in, and I don’t understand how they would have included my mother. The most frustrating part was that, after the balloon ride, one person took up the spot both on the bus and for the rest of the tour (entrance to the pyramids), which proves that they did not incur any significant additional costs. This is unacceptable and a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

Good Tour

Took this tour today and had a good time. First time in a hot air balloon. Breakfast was good along with tour and access to the pyramids.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're thrilled to hear that you had a great time on your first hot air balloon experience. It's wonderful that you enjoyed the breakfast and the tour of the pyramids. We hope to see you again for more adventures.

A Truly Mexican Experience

It started off as a very cool experience, but then the pilot and drivers completely abandoned their jobs to seduce a young girl wearing a skirt. The pilot, Oscar, had her sit on the propane tanks (safety hazard) so that he could take pictures of her on his personal phone, and she kept flashing everybody her bright green underwear (there were children present). The last 20 minutes of the ride were just her own personal photo shoot and you could feel the sexual tension between them. And then, to top it off, she ended up joining our van with some other girl that wasn't originally a part of our group, and they reclined their seats so far back that the row behind them almost couldn't sit there (the row behind them was comprised of very skinny men just fyi). On the drive back to the hotel, the driver was literally inviting them out to eat after the tour. Also, the restaurant that they have you eat at, El Cielo, isn't that good to begin with.

Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids cost?

+

Prices start at $3800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids?

+

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Balloon adventure: transfer+breakfast in the cave+guided pyramids start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
