Amazing Tour!
Guillermo is the best tour guide around! We had an amazing experience and will definitely do it again. Pick up and drop off were easy and stress free. Guillermo is very knowledgeable about the history of Teotihuacán and its important cultural aspects. He provided a great atmosphere to learn about the Temples and enjoy the overall experience. The food after the hot air balloon ride was also great! 10/10 recommend!

Great trip! Would have liked a bit more history & information on the guided walk bit.
Had a great time, though an early start. Pickup at the hotel was fine: driver/guide picked me up around 5am, drove to the 'balloon park' for a snack breakfast and to watch the sunrise/see the balloons get inflated. Balloon flight was really nice and without incident: great views of the complex. Just know that you stand in a portion of the basket and you can't really move around much. The pilot was playing music on his iPad which gave the trip a relaxed atmosphere. You need to kneel down for landing which wasn't easy in the cramped space, but a minor thing. They fix go-pros to the outside of the balloon to capture you inside the balloon but ours didn't work. I took my own Go-Pro & own DSLR to capture what I was seeing outside of the balloon. After the flight, went to a local hotel/restaurant for a more meaningful breakfast/brunch within eyesight of the pyramids, followed by a 20 minute long really good (entertaining, informative) explanation of local culture by a different guide just outside that hotel (including the silver/Obsidian workshop), then a walk around the pyramids themselves with the guide and finally time (around an hour) on my own to walk and take some pictures. The guided walk was OK, but confess that it was more about what the archeologists didn't know as about what they did, so left feeling less knowledgeable than I wanted to (hence 4 rather than 5 stars) but was relaxed and good. Returned back to my hotel (central Mexico City) around 2pm. (Then went myself to Chapultepec) Good trip. Take a sunhat, camera, suncream, sunglasses. No idea how much the official 'flight video'/pictures would be because we were never offered them/cameras didn't work. (Sorry - no photos because the files are too large.)

The best tour!!
Excellent service, from when I first wrote to you until the end of the tour. Guillermo is supremely professional in his work, he is willing to answer all the questions you have and you can tell that he really likes to share the history of his country with foreigners. He also took us to eat tacos at a delicious place, which was not included in the tour, but since we wanted to go he took us. Completely recommended any tour with him.

Absolutely Amazing
This was such an incredible experience. Our tour guide, Pedro, was kind and very knowledgeable. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience and I would highly recommend to anyone taking a trip to CDMX to do this. They provide transportation, breakfast, the hot air balloon ride, and a unique tour to Teotihuacan. Thank you for the amazing adventure.
Response from the operator: hello! thank you very much for trusting us, it is gratifying to know that your experience was great, really thank you for visiting us, for choosing us, but above all for speaking well of our country! Whenever you like, we are at your service! Sincerely Guillermo Lopez

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids cost?
+
Prices start at $4700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 9. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Balloon flight experience to Teotihuacan Pyramids start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
