    Fun experience

We had an amazing experience at this cooking class in Bali! Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and we especially loved that host showed us his home, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic and special. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, everything was explained clearly and in detail, and the food we prepared was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this cooking class to anyone looking for an authentic Balinese experience and a fun way to learn more about the local cuisine!

Relaxing Insightful Authentic Baliense Cultural Experience

The operator aranaged transportation to pick us up at our resort in Ubud. Upon arrival to the venue we were given a tour of their home. Talk about an immersive experience. The instructors educated us about the ingredients used and gave clear instructions for preparing our meal. We had a great time and will do again when we return to Bali in 2028.

GREAT Authentic Balinese cooking experience - what a refreshing experience!

Putri and Agong were lovely - great experience; traditional Balinese cooking in a calm and positive environment. The aroma was so unique and delicious that I barely over-ate! Just enough to draw the pleasure of good/ authentic Balinese cuisine. Thank you both for your fantastic works. Best Wishes Shajyy R. | B Biotech Innov (Hons) MCancerSc Australia

    A Fabulous Experience

We had an absolutely fantastic day experiencing authentic Balinese cooking followed by a brilliant tour around Ubud. The morning began with a visit to the local market, where Putri our guide from Lesung Cooking helped us to explore local fresh produce, discover new fruits and vegetables, and learn about everyday Balinese ingredients. It was a colourful and fascinating start to the day. The cooking class itself was superb — fun, hands‑on, and really well organised. We learned how to prepare traditional Balinese dishes step by step, and the team made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed. Sitting down to eat everything we’d cooked for lunch was a real highlight. A huge thank you to Putri, our guide and teacher. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and always making sure we were looked after. Her English was excellent, and she made us feel very welcome. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Bali.

Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud cost?

    +

Prices start at $650000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 291 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud?

    +

Around 102 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Balinese Authentic Cooking Class in Ubud start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
