Unmissable experience
A really good experience!! Very well organised and seamless. The tour of the market at the beginning is great and the cooking is delivered well and there’s a lot to learn. The food tastes great and they catered for us vegetarians well allowing us to cook slightly different alternatives. Really really good value for money, delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Fantastic cooking class experience.
We had a fantastic experience at Paon Cooking Class in Ubud! The class was very well structured, fun, and easy to follow. The recipes were clearly explained, and we really appreciated that they suggested ingredient substitutions for things that might be difficult to find back home. The instructors were friendly, funny, and created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the class. The cooking class takes place in an absolutely breathtaking family home, and we also enjoyed learning about the family dynamics and traditions, which made the experience feel even more authentic and personal. We did the morning class with the market visit, and the market tour was both interesting and informative. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Ubud!

Tasty fun!
We had so much fun learning about the market and making all the dishes. We made so much more than we thought we would and it was all delicious! The instructors were all helpful and easy to understand. It was an awesome experience!

Wonderful, immersive class
We started with a visit to the market, having an opportunity to experience the sights and smells and learn about unfamiliar fruits and an array of spices. We arrived at the beautiful home where the cooking took place. Our luck - it ended up just being our family of three so it was a very hands-on experience. The woman who led our cooking lessons was gracious and enthusiastic, and an excellent teacher. Everything we made was beautiful and delicious and we sat down for a wonderful meal at the end. We were gifted with recipe booklets of everything we made, and we met the lady of the house and her son who were wonderful hosts. I cannot recommend this experience enough, do make the time for it!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class cost?
+
Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 122 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class?
+
Around 43 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bali Ubud Paon Cooking Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
