From the cruise ship deck...
From the cruise ship deck to the driver drop off back to cruise ship was perfectly timed! we enjoyed the safe and fun excursion including the personal driver, the roads are tiny and narrow and our driver was amazing! Our Tour guide/boat captain was so knowledgeable about the history and the cenotes and gave us great time on boat with fresh fruits including dragonfruits! we enjoyed the swimming in the blue lagoons with crystal clear waters and white sands!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re very happy to hear that everything went smoothly from the cruise ship pickup to your return, and that you enjoyed the lagoon, cenotes, fresh fruit, and the beautiful crystal-clear waters of Bacalar. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with our driver and tour guide. Thank you for choosing Costa Maya Paradise, and we hope to welcome you back to the Mexican Caribbean someday! — Costa Maya Paradise Team

Best location in Bacalar! Amazing tour and team
I would give this tour 10 stars ⭐️ if I could! The tour operator Edgar was very attentive. He explained to us the day before that on Wednesdays boats are not allowed on the Bacalar lagoon proper and took us to an alternative location. The alternative location happens to be the biggest Xenote Xul HA and it feeds the Bacalar Lagoon. We had the entire Lagoon and Cenote to ourselves! The water was surreal. Our driver Ricardo went above and beyond to take good care of us. He took us to a Rotisserie chicken place w tacos which was delicious! We had soda, water and beer throughout the entire tour. We would definitely book a them again! We had an amazing time! Highly recommend
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review! Knowing you would give us **10 stars** truly means a lot to us. We're delighted you enjoyed your day at beautiful **Xul-Ha**. While Wednesdays have navigation restrictions on the Bacalar Lagoon, we're always committed to providing the best possible experience for our guests. Ricardo will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We're also happy you enjoyed the local tacos—one of our favorite hidden gems! Thank you for choosing Costa Maya Paradise and for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable adventure in Costa Maya! Warm regards, Edgar

Phenomenal
Everything was marvelous. Pick-up and return were punctual. The waters of the lake are so clear that we felt like we were swimming in the best beaches in the world. Ricardo's personalized attention was spectacular.

Damaged vessel, we did not visit the places described by the tour
The land transfer was very good; the driver was very kind to us, but the tour of the lagoon was not as expected. The engine of the vessel that was taking us broke down, and we had to wait an hour for a new one to arrive. Due to all the time we lost, we were unable to visit any of the places described by the tour. We did not see the cenotes nor the pirate canal.
Response from the operator: Hola, gracias por compartir tu experiencia. Saludos.

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Costa Maya.
How much does Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors cost?
+
Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Costa Maya usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Costa Maya is not rushed.
Is Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Costa Maya, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Costa Maya can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Costa Maya and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bacalar Tour from Costa Maya: Visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Costa Maya within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Costa Maya?
+
On Outty we rank every Costa Maya experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chacchoben & Bacalar Combo Excursion Costa Maya, Costa Maya Shore Excursion Chacchoben Day Trip, Bacalar – 7 Colors Lagoon Excursión Costa Maya. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Costa Maya?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Costa Maya?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
