It was ok...

Our guide was great. The first place we stopped to see the Cenote Azul was great. Nice breakfast and scenery. The second stop at the Bacalar Lagoon was good too where we got to swim and chill. We decided not to go kayaking as the weather was rainy and we went on the boat tour instead, which meant paying an extra 630MXN. After this, we went to the pretty awful buffet lunch. the food was cold and tasteless and the severs had their fingers in the food as they were holding the plates at an odd angle which meant their fingers slid into the food. Also, the DJ was playing super loud tunes which was more nightclub than chilling by a lagoon. This tour involves at least 6 hours of being on a coach, which is a lot and worth considering if you want to have that as part of a tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you for letting us know about your experience The boat tour was not included, it was offered as an alternative since you didn't want to go kayaking. The buffet food is made everyday and nothing gets reheated and nothing is cold. We undertstand that you don't like mexican food, but calling it "cold and tasteless" is a strech We'll look into the waiters performance at the restaurant, we haven't receive any complaints about them And yes, the transportation times for this tour are long, however, they are well worth the trip

Historic trip

I highly recommend checking this out, the tour guides tell you some of the history before you get there on the bus since it is a 3 hour drive there and back so it’s a full day trip. Everyone was nice and friendly the food was included in our package and was super yummy. The bus does get cold so make sure you bring a jacket or something warm. The sun when you get there is pretty brutal so make sure you take a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and they will give you umbrellas. You do need to bring a little cash to tip the guides and if you want to buy any souvenirs. I would definitely go again and they take you to the Cenotes as well which was super zen you learn a lot and super cool to see something that old.
