Fun, Interesting, Delicious

This was a (mostly) well-organized and enjoyable activity. Staff were attentive, thoughtful and helpful. The transportation to and from the farm, in a Song-Thaew style "taxi truck", was a bit cumbersome, but added some "local flavor" to the overall experience. The cooking menu had nice options with good variety, and I will definitely benefit from what was learned as I incorporate the methods, pointers, and recipes into my cooking in the future. Care was taken to graciously accommodate vegetarian and other food preferences and sensitivities. Eating the five-course meal resulting from our "labors" was fun and delicious. Helen, our tour guide and primary cooking teacher, took good care of us, snapping several group photos & thoughtfully providing us with all of the photos before the conclusion of the tour, along with a file containing all of the recipes used/taught. It was especially enjoyable to share this experience with "classmates" from four other countries, representing Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Kudos to Baan Farm & their staff!

Great cooking class - even better than any expectation!:)

Super great cooking class! The cook is super nice and does a mega job! The tour starts with pick up hotel in Chiang Mai, then you drive to the market where it shows you various traditional fruits and vegetables. The cooking school is on a nice farm and you cook "outside". Covered but no walls. The food is great and also huge choice. The whole team is super friendly and eager to make sure everything runs smoothly. All extra requests are taken into account. Vegetarian, intolerances etc. THOUSAND THANKS for this great afternoon and evening!:)

How far in advance should I book Baan Farm thai cooking Afternoon Class (Vegetarian Applicable)?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
