Huntington Scavenger Hunt: A Walk to Remember
The app was difficult to work with from purchasing the tickets to finding my reservations. I ended paying for an extra ticket because I never received an email for 1 ticket that I purchased and ending up adding to an existing reservation. When I pulled up the existing reservation, there were only two tickets when I had paid for 4. Not that it mattered since it was an independent tour and no one checked on you. The scavenger hunt itself was mediocre. It was really about taking pictures in front of each place. None of the places were actually open so we couldn't do anything more then read the signs outside of the buildings. All in all, I would not recommend it, and I certainly wouldn't pay for it again. I've been on other Viator tours and this did not live up to their standards.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter issues with reservations and ticket visibility, especially when you're excited to begin your adventure. We also regret that the scavenger hunt itself felt underwhelming and that some of the locations were closed during your visit. Our hunts are designed as self-guided experiences that focus on exploring local landmarks, history, and interactive photo challenges, but we understand that this style may not be what every traveler is looking for. Your comments regarding the app experience, ticketing process, and overall value are important to us and will be shared with our team for review. If you'd like us to investigate the reservation and ticket concerns further, please reach out to us at support@letsroam.com with your booking details. We'd be happy to take a closer look and assist however we can.

Why this scores 40
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Long Island.
How much does Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember cost?
+
Prices start at $12 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Long Island usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Long Island is not rushed.
Is Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (1/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable nightlife in Long Island, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Long Island can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Long Island and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Huntington A Walk To Remember start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Long Island within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Long Island?
+
Long Island covers North Fork winery tours, Hamptons beach days, Gold Coast mansion visits and fishing or sailing charters, most reachable as a day trip from Manhattan. On Outty we rank every Long Island experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Transfer in Black SUV to or from JFK, LGA, EWR, Skip the Lines Reliable Comfortable and stress free Rides, Black SUV Transfer From or To JFK, LGA, EWR - All Fees Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Long Island?
+
May to October, with harvest tastings peaking in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Long Island?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
