1. Arakurayama Sengen Park

   After meeting your friendly tour conductor, you’ll board a comfortable bus and begin your journey into the heart of Japan’s most breathtaking autumn scenery toward the Fuji Five Lakes region. Your first destination is the iconic Arakurayama Sengen Park, one of Japan's most famous viewpoints. This park is home to one of Japan’s most photographed scenes: the majestic Mt. Fuji rising behind a five-story pagoda, framed by fiery red maple leaves in peak season. As you climb the 398 steps to the viewing platform, each turn offers a postcard-perfect view. (Alternatively, there is a gentler sloping road that takes about 10 minutes on foot.) The contrast of traditional architecture, natural beauty, and Japan’s most sacred mountain is simply unforgettable. The autumn foliage here typically reaches its peak from early to late November, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that feels like stepping into a painting.

2. Lake Kawaguchiko

   Travel approximately 25 minutes to the Kawaguchiko area. Here, enjoy a lunch featuring a beef cutlet set meal, served at a specialty restaurant. The beef is grilled on a Mt. Fuji lava stone plate, a distinctive local style that allows the meat to be cooked while retaining its flavor and tenderness. This meal highlights one of Yamanashi's popular regional dining experiences and provides a satisfying break before the afternoon sightseeing begins. During the tour you will receive a special seasonal gift: a bunch of Yamanashi-grown Shine Muscat grapes. These premium grapes are known for their crisp texture, rich sweetness, and edible skin. They’re a local delicacy and a symbol of the region’s agricultural pride.

3. After approximately 10 minutes, arrive at Momiji Corridor at Lake Kawaguchi, one of the most beloved autumn spots in Japan. Here, a winding path lined with over 60 maple trees forms a glowing tunnel of red and gold. The leaves arch overhead like a natural cathedral, and the gentle stream running through the corridor adds a peaceful soundtrack to your walk. This is a photographer’s paradise and a moment of pure serenity. The foliage here is usually at its most vibrant from early to late November, and even on rainy days, the wet leaves shimmer like jewels.

4. Oshino Hakkai

   Travel approximately 30 minutes to Oshino Hakkai, a collection of spring-fed ponds formed by water from Mt. Fuji. Known for its exceptionally clear water, this picturesque village offers a different side of the Mount Fuji region. The ponds are fed by snowmelt that has filtered through volcanic rock over many years, creating striking displays of crystal-clear water. Surrounded by traditional scenery and seasonal foliage, Oshino Hakkai provides a peaceful atmosphere for a leisurely stroll and an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty that has long been associated with Mount Fuji. Autumn colors are typically best from early November through late November. Before returning to Tokyo, you’ll receive a light evening meal featuring 3 varieties of seasonal sticky rice, a traditional Japanese dish made with glutinous rice and seasonal ingredients.

• This tour is operated for both Japanese and foreign customers. A Japanese tour conductor will accompany the group and provide key information using a translation app. Please note that the tour conductor is not a tour guide and will focus on sharing essential information during the tour.
• Infant (0-2 years old) are free of charge with no arrangement
• Delays, shortenings or omissions made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond the control of the tour operator are not subject to refund.
• Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be contacted 5 days prior to your travel date and offered an alternative or full refund.
• According to traffic conditions etc, the order of the itinerary may be changed and the bus arrival may be delayed
• During the autumn foliage viewing season, roads and sightseeing spots might become congested and arrival to each place might be delayed. In some cases, shortenings or omissions may occur due to congestion during this time
• The best time to view autumn leaves varies depending on the weather and temperature of the season. The tour schedule is based on the condition of the autumn leaves in the past years. However, there are some cases where you are not able to enjoy the scenery as in the photo. Please note there will be no refund regardless of the conditions of the autumn leaves. If the conditions of the autumn leaves are poor, visiting times may be shortened. Typical Peak Season: early to late November.
• If the weather is not favorable, you might not be able to see Mt. Fuji.
• Please note that we are unable to accommodate special dietary requests, including food allergies. If you have specific dietary needs, we recommend making your own meal arrangements. No refunds will be provided for meals.
• Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended. You will have to walk up for approx. 20-30 minutes (400 steps) one way to the cherry blossoms viewing spot at Arakurayama Sengen Park. Please note the bus cannot take you to the viewing spot
• At Arakurayama Sengen Park, you will need to climb 398 steps from the park entrance to reach the five-story pagoda. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking. There is also an alternative route that takes about 10 minutes on foot via a gentle slope along the road.
• If you are not confident in your physical ability, you can still enjoy views of Mt. Fuji from near the park entrance. However, please note that you will not be able to see the iconic view of Mt. Fuji with the pagoda together.
• Delays or non-participation due to public transportation delays will be subject to cancellation fees. The tour will depart at the scheduled time listed.
• Not recommended for travelers with leg problems. This tour requires a lot of walking, specially at Arakurayama Sengen Park (You will need to climb 400 steps one way).
