It exceeded our family’s...
It exceeded our family’s expectations. Our guide Nune, made cooking all five dishes easy, educational and fun!

Thai cooking class
Our guide, driver and cooking teacher named “A” was an all around fun and happy guy. We were first introduced to Thai ingredients in the local markets and then driven to the farm. The best part was that we individually get to pick our own 5 course meal: appetizer, noodle/rice dish, soup, curry and dessert. Everything was well organized and delicious. Highly recommend.

Nice Tour, but it is full day not half day
We had a really nice time overall, and Tommy was an excellent guide. He did a great job managing a group with mixed languages and made sure everyone felt included and understood. The cooking class itself was fun, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed visiting the market and learning about Thai cuisine. My major complaint is that this is advertised as a half-day tour, but it ended up taking our entire day. We were picked up around 8:20 a.m. and weren’t dropped back off until almost 5:00 p.m. We booked this expecting to finish in the city between 2:00–3:00 p.m., so it significantly affected the rest of our plans. Because the farm is well outside the city, there’s no option to leave early once you’re there. I would only recommend this company if the listing is updated to reflect that it’s really a full-day activity so travelers can plan accordingly.

Sensational
Family of 5. Went on the farm cooking tour - sensational facilities and organic massive garden. Pond, waterwheel, chooks, geese. Picked up and went to the market in the city. City cooking also available - but so glad we elected to do the farm as the serenity and lushness of the countryside was stunning. And we had the whole open space to ourselves. Sooooo much food. You get to select what you will make: 5 courses and so much variety. We made them all and shared as a family. Seamless, smooth behind the scenes facilitation meant it was engaging the whole day. Given a gorgeous book of every recipe and simple step by step guides with photos of ingredients to recreate at home. 9-4pm door to door including all driving (approx 40 mins each way in air conditioned van). Marium was an amazing host and teacher from beginning to end.

10/10 Thai Cooking Class and Farm Tour
Thai cooking class with Nune was awesome! It was a small group and we were able to go to the morning market to understand how to shop for ingredients and then see them growing on the farm. Very peaceful setting for the cooking class on the farm itself. Well organized and paced with lots of hands on time. Definitely feel like I could make some of these recipes when I return home! You leave very full, with a cute cookbook that contains step by step instructions and the team takes and posts your photos on the website the next day so you can be in the moment. 10/10 recommend when in Chiang Mai!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that you had such a great experience in the cooking class with Nune. We’re especially glad to hear that you feel confident about recreating the recipes at home. That is exactly what we hope our guests take away from the experience. And of course, we hope the cookbook and photos will help you remember the special moments from the day. Thank you again for your kind recommendation. We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you again in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai cost?
+
Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 72 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Authentic Thai Cooking Class and Farm Visit in Chiang Mai start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
