Coming home to cook in Zagreb
Cooking with Zeljka Stosic in her home was an absolute joy. Our meeting at Dolce market was like meeting an old friend. We selected Fresno fruit, vegetables and meat for our menu. Zeljka's personality is warm and welcoming as was her husband.

Cooking with Zeljka on a rainy day!
We unfortunately had a rainy day while in Zagreb but it was made memorable with a great cooking class with Zeljka. She was very accommodating to my husband's dietary needs. We spent a lovely day at her home and cooking location outside of Zagreb after first picking up our groceries. She has beautiful outdoor patio and a nice kitchen to prepare traditional Croation dishes. The food was great as well as the fun conversations with Zeljka and her husband. All in all a very good day.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you so much for sharing your cooking class experience with our host Zeljka! We’re so glad that even a rainy day in Zagreb turned into a memorable one thanks to Zeljka’s warmth and hospitality. It’s wonderful to hear that she was able to accommodate your husband’s dietary needs and that you enjoyed both the delicious food and engaging conversations. Zeljka truly loves welcoming guests into her home and sharing Croatian culinary traditions, and we’re so happy that came through in your time together. We hope this experience remains a highlight of your travels and that you’ll join us again for another authentic meal wherever your journey takes you next. Warmly, Aashi Founder, Traveling Spoon

Nice people and food
Zeljka was very friendly and has explained a lot to us since I'm not a very good chef. The food she bought with us tasted in the end very well. Overall it was an experience that we would to again.

Fantastic experience!
Amazing day with Zeljka. Loved the market tour and shopping for ingredients. Learned how to prepare several delicious Croatian courses. Beautiful terrace and garden. Everyone should do this when visiting Zagreb!

Fabulous way to taste traditional Croatian food.
Great time shopping for food in the market and the n we went out of the city into the host’s home in a village around 30 minutes from the centre of Zagreb. We made three wonderful dishes- esp favourite was the cottage cheese strudel for dessert. We had some great coffee, schnapps and wine. Truly lovely day.

Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.
How much does Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb cost?
+
Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.
Is Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Authentic Market Tour and Cooking Class in the Heart of Zagreb start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zagreb?
+
On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zagreb?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zagreb?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
