Awesome Experience - Great Tour Company

Awesome experience albeit a tad cold. It was the perfect way to see the Northern Lights and they did not disappoint. Snowmobiles were great, the extra clothes were great, did I say it was cold! Kirk did not disappoint in his guide service. There were all of 6 total participants. Kirk stayed out later than advertised as the lights were dancing for us. Could not have been happier about this excursion into the frozen backcountry of Fairbanks.

    Best Experience

We had an amazing experience with Fairbanks Sleigh Rides! Kurt was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. From start to finish, they made us feel welcome and comfortable, and he took the time to explain everything. The location was beautiful and felt truly Alaskan. The sleigh ride itself was peaceful, magical, and such a unique way to experience Fairbanks in the winter. If you’re visiting Fairbanks and looking for an authentic, memorable experience, I highly recommend Fairbanks Sleigh Rides and Kurt. This was definitely a highlight of our trip and something we’ll always remember!

    Outstanding Aurora Experience

My husband and I met Jeff, the most amazing tour guide ever, for an evening excursion on snowmobiles to visualize the northern lights. We had the most magical experience. The machines were so much fun. We traveled along open fields and trails through the pristine forests and across a frozen pond. The aurora was on full display. We were completely awestruck. Jeff is also a wildlife specialist and he was able to share his knowledge regarding the Aurora and the flora and fauna of the area. Jeff’s enthusiasm and excitement was infectious. He also took beautiful photos which he forwarded to us the following morning. This excursion was, by far, the most memorable event of our entire trip. Do not hesitate to choose this tour for the time of your life!

    Awesome night time ride

We did the night time tour and had the best time. Josh was our guide. He made sure we were dressed appropriately and then gave us instructions on how to operate the machines. He was very professional and communication was great. We highly recommend Snow Sleighers.

Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fairbanks.

How much does Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks cost?

    +

Prices start at $495 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fairbanks usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fairbanks is not rushed.

Is Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fairbanks, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fairbanks can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fairbanks and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Aurora Sleighers Snowmobile Tour in Fairbanks start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fairbanks within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fairbanks?

    +

Fairbanks is the aurora capital of interior Alaska: heated viewing lodges, late-night chase tours, Arctic Circle day drives up the Dalton Highway, dog sledding and summer riverboat cruises. On Outty we rank every Fairbanks experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights - Aurora with FREE Photos - Arctic Night Tours, Dog Sledding and Mushing Experience in North Pole, Fairbanks Ice Fishing Expedition in a Heated Cabin with Fish Cookout. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fairbanks?

    +

Late August to April for aurora, June to August for midnight-sun river trips. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fairbanks?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
