Best experience ever!!
This experience far exceeded our expectations!! We went with Kevin, who had a sort of aurora GPS that brought us to a spot nestled between the mountains on the shore of a lake. He built a campfire and served us hot food and hot chocolate. We waited there for a few minutes, and then the sky lit up with the northern lights. It was truly magical!! The suits they provide keep you warm so you can fully enjoy the experience. And they teach you how to take photos with your phone and also take you professional beautiful photos. Without a doubt, the best company out there for seeing the auroras. We want to return, and we will definitely do it with them. THANK YOU!

Chasing the Lights near Tromso
We had such a great time on our Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations! Our guide, Vidar, clearly knew all the best spots to catch the Northern Lights. Even with snowstorms coming and going, he managed to find clear skies — and we got to see the lights dancing beautifully! It was great to take a break by a cozy bonfire, and enjoy a warm meal and hot chocolate while Vidar told us a funny story about trolls. It really added to the magic of the night. He also took some wonderful photos of us and went above and beyond to help us retrieve our forgotten tripod (my husband accidentally left it in the van). The whole evening felt like a real adventure — fun, relaxed, and full of memorable moments. Highly recommend this tour and Vidar to anyone chasing the aurora!

Amazing
We had a wonderful Northern Lights tour with Creative Vacations. Everything was very well organized and the experience was unforgettable. Our guide Kevin was fantastic – very friendly and knowledgeable. He made the tour comfortable, and thanks to him we were able to see the Northern Lights in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend this company and especially Kevin. Thank you for such a great experience!

Perfect
If you’re looking for a tour to chase the Northern Lights in Tromsø, this is the best option. It’s boutique, small-group, and highly professional. You’ll be provided with professional tripods, as well as warm clothing and boots. They take you to the best possible locations for viewing the lights. Kevin is an excellent guide—very helpful and knowledgeable. He takes great photos of you and also helps you capture your own. Even though the weather in Tromsø was very poor, we drove all the way into Finland to find clear skies and witnessed incredible Northern Lights. The journey was very comfortable, with no difficulties at all. Highly recommended.

Great Aurora experience with Creative Vacations
We went on the Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations. Kevin was on both dates (19-3 and 21-03) our guide. He was very kind, knowledgable, friendly, helpful but above all he was prepared to drive the extra mile deeper into Finland to chase the northern lights, and he did! We want to thank creative vacations for giving us this beautiful experience and adventure! Michael & Anna the Netherlands

Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.
How much does Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations cost?
+
Prices start at $2500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.
Is Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 407 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations?
+
Around 142 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tromso?
+
On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Minibus Chase from Tromsø with Chasing Lights, Northern Lights Big Bus Chase with Chasing Lights, Tromsø Northern Lights Chase We Go Where The Lights Appear. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tromso?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tromso?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
