DO NOT give this company your money
I would never recommend this company to anybody. Please save your money and go to the company right next door to them instead (they will actually want your business there and treat you with kindness). We dealt with Anita who was completely rude and was unable/unwilling to accommodate our large group of 11 after booking online. She’ll likely respond to this by saying that we are lying (as I saw some responses on other bad reviews) but I recorded our interactions for proof. Anita was trying to overcharge us and even the guide seemed surprised about why she was trying to charge us so much or why she wouldn’t take out any more atvs to accommodate our group. She didn’t seem to care at all and relied on the fact that since we booked through TripAdvisor, that we wouldn’t get out money back. She told us so herself. Absolute waste of our time and money but thankfully the company next door was able to turn our day around and we ended up having a great day, even after Anita trying to scam us for more money.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry there was a misunderstanding about your reservation, but we would like to clarify what was actually booked. Viator sells our tours per person, not per ATV. When making a reservation, guests select the number of people in their group and the price is calculated accordingly. Your reservation was made for 7 people, not 7 ATVs. Nowhere in the reservation did you purchase or pay for 7 ATVs. Our listing also clearly explains that a double ATV ticket is a shared ATV for two people. Two guests can share the ATV and take turns driving. If a group has more people than are included in the reservation, additional tickets need to be purchased for those guests. When your group arrived, we explained that the reservation covered 7 people and that additional members of your group who did not have tickets would need to purchase additional tickets. Unfortunately, the conversation became confrontational with our receptionist, who was simply trying to explain the reservation and find a solution for your group. We also want to clarify that the option discussed for a larger vehicle was not an attempt to “upcharge” you because you speak English. Our prices are the same regardless of nationality or language. We operate on very small margins, and our guides and staff work hard to provide these experiences. While we are always happy to help find a solution when possible, we cannot provide additional vehicles or tours without the corresponding tickets being purchased. We’re glad to hear that you found Angel to be great and respectful. We will certainly pass that compliment along to him. We welcome large groups and have successfully accommodated them for many years. We simply ask that the number of guests and tickets on the reservation match when the group arrives.

Avoid this Place, Anita is very disrespectful
Avoid this place for a tour! My booking was for 7 double ATVs which was confirmed in my reservation, upon arrival Anita tried to say it was only for 7 people and that they didn’t have any ATVs to accommodate our large group. However, the tour guide (Angel who was GREAT and respectful) would continue ask her if he should take out more ATV but then she would turn to us and say she had no more. Anita was very disrespectful and only wanted us to pay another $500 for a razor ( which she was up charging since we spoke English). If you have a large group GO NEXT DOOR THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER. If Anita would have been more accommodating and respectful we would have stayed but she was rude. Bad service over all!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $78 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 102 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting?
+
Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does ATV Tour Rio Cuale Sierra Madre Mountains and tequila tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
