Your local bilingual guide will go through the necessary safety instructions and fit you with your helmet. You will then have a chance to practice on your fully equipped Honda ATV before heading off along scenic trails into the mountains. On the mountain trail, you will head up into the hills where you can take in the natural beauty of the native flora and fauna of the Guanacaste region. Spot Guanacaste Trees and rare Pochote trees while enjoying the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. SCAM
We booked the trip for 6 people which was $750 and we got there at 9 am and the owner told us he did not have time to find enough staff to take us on the trip. We told him he should have let us know to which he responded “what, so do you want me to be on my phone all the time? He then proceeded to tell us he would not take any complaints but that he would refund us the money. He told me in 30 mins i would be getting an email from viator with my refund and gave me his phone number for if there were any problems. I never got the refund email and he ignored all my text messages. Now i am $750 out , i hope Viator pulls through and helps me get my money back. I hope he gets banned from Viator for being a scammer.
Response from the operator: You arrived 20 minutes late, at a time when the group was ready to leave. You booked a tour after 9 PM the night before for a 9:00 AM tour. The refund was processed according to the standard procedures in the office. You are attacking legal business which is providing high quality tours already 15 years from different accounts on different platforms just because 6 adults couldn’t show up in time to the tour which was booked at night when stuff rest to be capable to provide safe and secure service next day. Despite the delay and your attitude, we offered to adjust your tour so that you could still join the group. It's important to understand that we also need to respect the schedules of all participants, especially those who arrived on time. We did extend the option for you to join the next group at noon, but you declined. We always strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our ability, but it’s crucial that tours are booked within our working hours, allowing enough time for preparation, and that participants arrive on time. We highly recommend to address your questions about your $750 to your bank.

Unprofessional and rude
Booked this excursion and showed up for our reservation only to be told they couldn’t take us because “they didn’t see our reservation”. We checked out of our Airbnb early to drive to this excursion before we left town. The guy was not apologetic and was very rude, for an error they made. We still have not yet received our refund because he “couldn’t do it there”. Very unprofessional. He also blamed us because we booked the excursion at 9pm and said “you expected me to be on my phone at 9pm?”. Then why let us book it? Terrible experience! We found a company right down the road that was AWESOME and cheaper!! Tamarindo Dreaming - five stars!!!

Awesome time with Action Tours Tamarindo
My wife and I booked two trips with Action tours Tamarindo. The first trip was a night tour from 4:00 - 7:00. We visited several beaches, and small beachside bar for a great drink. The second trip was from 9;00-4:00. We rode up the coast on back roads stopping at various Playa beaches, and great nestled in the woods hotel lunch spot. Both trips were with Ronnie and we could have had a better guide. He was the life of the tour. It’s a must do tour.
