Avoid at all costs
Provider wasn't able to deliver the tour. Unreliable company that cost us one day of vacation. Avoid this company. There was no communication other than a sudden cancellation notice. Very unprofessional.
Response from the operator: Dear Mark hope you are ok now I'm so sorry for what happened to you. I think you were very upset at the time of writing this review. I don't know your personal reasons. Canceling a tour isn't catastrophic. Clients can do it, we can do it too, when we are based on rules.. You booked this tour during peak tourist season, only for the next day. Your cancellation wasn't after 20 minutes, it wasn't after an hour, it wasn't after a day. We made your cancellation at the time, that we received your tour reservation. The minimum number of people for this tour isn't one, you booked just for one, On the website it is clear that the minimum number of people for the tour is 02 passengers, we offer personalized, private service,That's a mistake you made. Your question was posted the next day, and it was made via a Viator message, to see it, i need to log in i did not see so sorry for it.. We didn't receive any calls, nor did we receive a WhatsApp message, which has a loud ringtone and allows us to respond quickly. I think this comment should have a different value. When I canceled the tour, your money was refunded to you. I personally was on a guided tour, and to avoid any problems, I canceled the tour as quick was possible .

Great way to kick off a big adventure
This was a perfect day one for our Peru adventure. We’re Floridians that took a red eye into the country and wanted to acclimate to the altitude so we opted for this noon half day tour the day we flew in. This tour met all of our expectations and then some. Our driver was prompt friendly and accommodating and took us to all of the points, first we zipped lined, safe and fun. The family that set us up were great, they took care to make sure our boys 7 & 10 were strapped in good and spent extra time taking photos for us and switching up our gear so we could “Superman or Spider-Man” on each zip line. Then our driver took us to met up with our ATV driver , that was also super fun, the valley is breathtaking we stopped for plenty of photo ops and they the boys got a chance to drive around the practice track which made their day. We then stop at a local shop for salts chocolates and trinkets, after that it was off to the salt mine for some interest and education, it was quite interesting (to me at least) the process. The entire team of individuals that orchestrated this event did a great job. They were everything you would expect and then some. The people are a delight a would highly recommend this to anyone!
Response from the operator: Dear Ashley Thank you so much for your review. We're so glad to spent time with you. We always give our best on every tour. Best regards, and best wish for all of you.

Recommended 6-7 hour tour! Samuel was the best!
We started at 10:30 and drove for a little over an hour to the zip lines. There are 4 and they range from short to long (1 min). Then we took atvs to Lake Huaypo and took in the beautiful scenery. The next part took us by car to the salt mines, don’t skip this part! Then we finished with a short textile demonstration in Chinchero before heading back to Cusco. Samuel was awesome all the way, describing the land and his family’s places, local history, he even took helped us transfer our luggage to our new hotel! Don’t hesitate if you want to book this tour. It was just the 2 of us, the group sizes can vary, so it was VIP for us. Recommended!

Amazing Experience!
Great tour from start to finish. The manager Samuel himself picked us up and drove us to the city where the ATV’s were. He was so knowledgeable and gave us such an educational background to the city and history of Peru. ATV’s were awesome. You go through these farm land cities and have the choice to see lakes, Morray, and salt mines. We chose a lake and salt mine. Highly recommend the same thing!!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does ATV (Cuatrimotos) Huaypo lake, salt mines and zipline half day tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
