    1. Imlil Treks Toubkal

Your driver will meet you at your accommodation (or preferred pick-up point) at 9.00 am to start the transfer to Imlil. On your way you will pass through the town of Tahnaout where you can stop at an Argan Oil Co-operative and learn how the woman of the co-operative turn the Argan nut into many of the different Argan Oil-based products Morocco is famous for. You will then continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited. Once you arrive in Imlil you will stop for a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your tour of the local area. Your guide will help you decide on the length of your tour (you can choose between 1 and 3 hours) and then you will make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Once you are rested you will begin your return trip down the other side of the valley to Taourirt to meet your vehicle. Your return transfer will take you via Moulay Brahim Gorges, where you will arrive at a main trailhead with streams and paths branching out in all directions. Here you will have the opportunity to experience riding a camel. You will then continue your journey back to Marrakech, arriving back at approximately 6.00 pm.

    Well worth it!

We had a very relaxed tour even though we covered so many places. Going from desert to waterfalls in tbe mountains within an hour’s driving distance was more out of a story book! Our guide/driver Saib was absolutely fabulous, very patient and a joy to be around!

Wonderful day excursion for our family

Mohmad Amjif was our guide today and was fabulous. He was attentive to our group, helped when help was needed, and offered amazing hospitality. We even had lunch at his family’s house in the Atlas Mountains! (It was delicious). He drove very safely and overall the trip and experience was fantastic. When one of my daughters had enough hiking he drove the van to pick her up while the others continued to hike. Ando travel was very good at communicating. 100% recommend and if we ever return to the area we will be repeat customers.

Response from the operator: Dear Grant, Thank you for your wonderful and detailed review! We are thrilled to hear that your family had a fantastic day and that Mohmad Amjif provided such attentive, helpful, and hospitable service, including the special lunch. We're also glad our communication was clear. We truly appreciate your 100% recommendation and hope to welcome you back as repeat customers in the future.

Beautiful hike/views, amazing home cooked meal and wonderful guides! Thank you!!!!

This was the best experience in Morocco so far! The driver Mohamed Amjif came early, was a wonderful guide, connected us with a fantastic hiking guide Yasin, and his mother cooked us a beautiful home cooked meal. Can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you Mohamed for your hospitality and everything you did on this experience.

Response from the operator: Dear Valbona, thank you for your incredibly kind words! We are overjoyed to hear this was your best experience in Morocco. We are so glad you enjoyed the beautiful hike, the home-cooked meal, and the wonderful hospitality from our team. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back someday!

    Extraordinary!

Our excursion was extraordinary. The driver was on time. We first did the very pleasant camel ride! Neither too short nor too long. Then, we visited the women's cooperative that produces argan oil. It was a nice experience but a little too touristy for our taste. Then we were dropped off for our hike with our guide MOHAMMED who was amazing. We walked with him to a few small villages where he provided us with detailed information about everything. We were then welcomed on a terrace for a very good traditional dinner with breathtaking views of the Imlil valley and the snow-covered High Atlas mountains. After dinner, we went hiking with Mohammed and we had very human contact. The authentic Moroccan contact that we wanted to have in the Atlas. This day will forever remain grave in our hearts. Thank you very much Mohammed for making our day extraordinary. We highly recommend Ando Travel and our hiking guide Mohammed. See you soon. André, Karla, Lucie

    An AMAZING Honeymoon trip!

My wife and I went on this trip today - it was incredible. Mohamed was a knowledgeable and funny guide, who frequently stopped at key viewpoints to take photos of us and explain what we could see. The Camel riding was exciting, and we spent 40 minutes on the Camel (again with plenty of photos being included). After some Moroccan tea, we then went to visit the Berber village of Imlil, where we were invited into Mohamed's home and treated to a wonderful three course meal with a view of Mount Toubkal, 2000m above sea level. He then took us to see the local waterfall (down several steps!!). We then made our way back, via several other local stops. Couldn't recommend highly enough- we had a wonderful day.

Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil)?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

    +

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marrakech: 1 Day Tour-Best of Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys, 3 Days Merzouga Desert Tour from Marrakech with Luxury Camp, Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Waterfall + Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil)?

    +

Included: Tea; camel ride; and In-vehicle air conditioning. Not included: drinks; personal expenses; and Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point instead from 3 listed pickup locations in and around Marrakech. Be ready about 15 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.

What languages is Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil) offered in?

    +

It is offered in English and French. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride (Imlil)?

    +

    +

The operator notes: Specialized infant seats are available. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
