Atlantic Coast Azemmour Jewish Heritage & Oualidia Lagoon

A mix of relaxation and history.

We had a lovely day , with beautiful scenary and we learned a lot. Oualudia had a relaxing atmosphere and was a nice place to visit in the heat. And on the stops along the way we learned a lot about the jewish history in Marocco, and the countrys history in general. We had a great day!

A lovely day visiting Oualidia

We had a lovely day in the Moroccan heat. Everything went smoothly during the day. We were picked up right on time and had a confortable transportation. We got to learn lots of new things about Moroccan history and visited interesting places during the day. The stop in Oulidia was very relaxing. The restaurant is a bit pricy but the food was amazing and the atmosphere so relaxing. The location was fantastic, just at the beach.

Amazing operator !

I needed a tour operator for a day out of Casablanca, Typically Morocco Tours was mentionned several times, so I gave it a go and it was even better than I expected : - Very fast booking with Abdelattif the organizer - Handled the pick up easily and we arranged a convenient location at a convenient time - All informations provided before hand The car is luxuous with AC, USB ports, 6 places. Driver was on time, respectful and very helpful, driving is also secured and anticipated little water bottles for the whole trip. We were late due to my fault but we still managed to go for a tea alongside the river in Azemmour, then a nice breakfast in El Jadida and to avoid rain we rushed to Oualidia. Advice for Azemmour : The driver will drop you in Baluarte Norte. There's a local Museum you can visit but you better know in advance if it's opened Walk in that little hood and get down to the river (Oum Errabia), there are places along you can have a tea and sometimes even eat Advice for El Jadida : The driver will drop you near the Portugese Fortress. A guide is required to really understand the history of that place, and you can have sea food around. Advice for Oualidia : You have several choiced once you arrive You can have oysters right away in Ostrea restaurant then if no boats are parked there you need to take the car to the beach next to La Sultana Oualidia and ask for a long tour with a boat (negotiate with the owner) as the usual short tour is really short and not so interesting. You could bring snacks and have a picnic on the boat while he gets to a nice location on that Lagoon Or you can plan in advance to begin with a lunch on the sea side (check "Chef Karim de Oualidia" but it requires to be able to reach the other side of the Lagoon from the North, or get dropped by the boat and walk while he would come back after. The return was done at night using highways, its quite a long ride back so enjoy the space in the car and a little break at a gas station mid journey. The Tour Operator is flexible as long as it's within the possible : you can ask if some specific spots are possible or not depending on the planning. For example going off the highway in the morning to have a coffee break in a typical place countryside before Azemmour would be nice, feel free to ask if you already have a location or if you want to let the organizer check. I recommend 100% using their services.

Great

Very nice city tour stopping at the Hassan mosque, Habbous district, Corniche, the largest Catholic church, place Mohammed V and lighthouse over three hours, by car and walking, with breakfast in Habbous. Nice way to orient yourself to the city if you are new. A bit pricey but worth it; can customize time/locations with the guide.
