About this experience
Arrive at Porinou 5, 11742 inside the tour office to meet your licensed guide, an experienced archaeologist, and then start your unique combination of a tour. Enter from the south slope of the Acropolis and set off on your leisurely walking tour of some of the world’s finest monuments. Visit the Theater of Dionysus — an amphitheater that is arguably the birthplace of performing arts. Perch yourself on one of the stone seats to imagine the sights and sounds experienced by ancient theatergoers who came to watch plays by Greek writers Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides. The theater is still used today during the Athens Festival from May to October. Once you familiarize yourself with the site's classical architecture, head indoors to the New Acropolis Museum, ranked one of the top five museums in the world. The New Acropolis Museum features collections of statues and other artifacts from everyday life in several galleries. Finish your tour with a selection of Greek tastes.

Great day exploring historic Athens
Excellent tour guide! Anastasia knew her information and had a passion for her job. I learned a lot. On a hot day it was tough to be out in the sun for so long but everything went smoothly. Well worth the time and money.

Our tour guide was...
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly & welcomed questions from the group. The tour does, as advertised, require walking on hilly inclines at times. Proper shoes a must, flip flops not recommended. We chose the tour that included the Museum tour and a greek lunch at Acadia. Delicious! Loved the entire experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour and appreciated our guide’s knowledge, friendliness, and openness to questions. And yes—comfortable shoes are definitely the best choice when exploring the Acropolis and its historic paths! Thank you for choosing ATHENS WALKS, and we hope to see you again in Athens!

We appreciate your honest comments about the lunch as well, and we’re glad that the history and guided experience were the highlights of your visit. Thank you for choosing ATHENS WALKS!

Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 81 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch?
+
Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Athens Small Group Tour with Acropolis,Parthenon,Museum and Greek lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
