A unique and insightful way to explore Athens

I loved the Athens Myths & Tales Walking Tour! Our guide made the city's ancient history and myths come alive in such an engaging way. We visited iconic spots, but it was the stories behind them that really made the experience unforgettable. The pace was relaxed, and I felt like I was walking through a living history book. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Athens from a unique, personal perspective!

Very enjoyable walking tour.

Very enjoyable walking tour, just the two of us and our guide. Our guide was Babis, tour took us to some of the well known site and some lesser known sites. Babis was a fountain of knowledge. Pace of tour was very comfortable in temperatures of 35+ C - nice coffee stop. Would definately recommend the tour and Babis as the guide.

Response from the operator: Dear GregY47, Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience on the Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour. It delights us to hear how much you enjoyed the tour, paced comfortably to suit the warm temperatures, and enhanced by a refreshing coffee stop. Babis, your guide, is indeed a treasure trove of knowledge, and it’s gratifying to know his expertise and storytelling made the exploration of Athens' well-known and hidden sites enjoyable for you. Your recommendation of both the tour and Babis as a guide is greatly appreciated and contributes greatly to the experiences we aspire to provide. We look forward to welcoming you back for more illuminating adventures in the future. Warm regards, Rebecca Skevaki

The guide was fantastic and a lot of fun. The island was beautiful and the water is crystal clear. We especially enjoyed the green sand!

Response from the operator: Vacation433, we are more than glad that you enjoyed your boat trip! We are looking forward to exploring with you again in the future as there are plenty of colour variations and sand formations in greek beaches. Have a nice summer! -The GrecialLux Team-

Amazing and Thorough Tour of Athens!

George was wonderful guide for our Athens tour! He is extremely knowledgeable and fun and entertaining, and he knows so many interesting things about Athens' history and culture. He pointed out interesting tidbits for the main Athenian attractions and also offered fun little facts and side excursions throughout the day. We were very happy with our tour and would highly recommend him to everyone visiting Athens!

Response from the operator: Dear dm7722, Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We count ourselves lucky for customers like you. We look forward to working with you again in the future!  -the GrecianLux Team

Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Athens Myths and Legends Odyssey Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
