    Book direct with Museum

The cost of booking through a third party is + €12. Audio was supposed to be for the entire museum, only some worked and no direct exhibit audio was available. Museum was absolutely worth the €20, but skip the 3rd party sellers this don’t add true value.

Response from the operator: Hello, and thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you felt the booking did not provide the value you expected. Please note that the price of your booking included both the entry ticket and our self-guided audio tour, and these inclusions were clearly displayed during the checkout process. We were unfortunately unable to locate your reservation. If you experienced any issues with the audio guide, our support team would have been happy to assist you during your visit and help resolve the issue. Thank you for your understanding. Warm regards, Claire

    Museum refused Clio Tours tickets!

The museum did not honor the tickets,we purchased! After 15 minutes if arguing, they gave up and admitted us. I emailed Clio Tours about the issue and they gave me the run around. Just buy a ticket at the museum.

Response from the operator: Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty entering the venue using the voucher you received. Our team has asked for the reason the tickets were not accepted, but we have not yet received a response. Please note that, as stated in the email instructions sent after booking, vouchers provided by our partners are not accepted by the venue. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Claire

Absolutely worth going to see amazing antiquity and great opportunity to understand the culture that developed over 5,000+ years! Don't miss. This experience.

    Ticket issue

Unfortunately, we could not use our tickets as they were dated the 18 th March rather than the date we booked for, the 28 th March. The museum did not recognise the reference number either. Our reference is 1370567845 and we would be grateful if you could check this for us. We paid viator 44 euro for 2 tickets and had to pay a further 40 euro to get into the museum yesterday as the tickets weren't accepted.

Response from the operator: Hello, and thank you for your feedback! We apologize as this was a mistake from our end. Our records indicate that there was a discrepancy with your tickets from our end, as they showed past-dated information. As a result, a refund has been processed for your booking. Please contact us to get a free audio tour for your next destination as an apology. Best regards, Claire

Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $34 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 35 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 67 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Athens National Archaeological Museum E-Ticket with Audio Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
