First time scuba wonderful
Ray was great ! Very patient very understanding very charismatic funny helpful knowledgeable. 100% recommend this experience if you’re in Aruba, it is a must do ask for Ray.
Response from the operator: Ray is going to love reading this! Sounds like he brought the full package to the dive, patience, good vibes, plenty of laughs, and of course, knowing his way around the water. We’re lucky to have him on the team! Thanks for joining us and for the recommendation. We’ll make sure Ray gets the memo!

Alan is the best guide!
I had Alan as a guide and as it was my first time Scuba diving he made it super simple and easy to follow. I was supposed to have a different guide but they called in sick. The manager messaged me and was going to cancel but with it being my last day they were able to squeeze me in with Alan. It was great and I thanked them for being so flexible and allowing me to still dive before I left!
Response from the operator: We’re really glad we managed to make this one happen! 😊 Sometimes the dive plan needs a little last minute reshuffling, and luckily we got you underwater on your last day in Aruba. Sounds like you were in good hands with Alan! Thanks for being so understanding about the change, and for trusting us to squeeze in that first dive. Alan will be happy to hear he made your introduction to scuba a good one. Safe travels, and hopefully this won’t be your last dive with us!

Such an amazing experience!
Had an awesome time! The dive felt surreal, the waters colors were vibrant, we saw hundreds of fish, turtles, and coral. The instructor Alan is awesome. I had trouble breathing underwater at first and he helped calm me down and taught me the best way to breathe. We also learned a few scenarios that might happen and how to resolve it. If you’re visiting Aruba you must experience it.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! 💙 We’re so happy to hear you had such a memorable dive experience us and with Alan. It’s completely normal to need a little time to get comfortable breathing underwater, especially on a first dive. We’re especially proud of our little company, where we focus on taking the time to help you relax, find your breathing rhythm, and build your confidence in the water. That’s exactly what we want our guests to experience, safe, calm, and supported. Thank you for choosing Underdog Divers, and we hope you’ll come back for another adventure next time you’re on the island! 💙

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oranjestad.
How much does Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oranjestad usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oranjestad is not rushed.
Is Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 270 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oranjestad, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience?
+
Around 95 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oranjestad can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oranjestad and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aruba Private Scuba Diving One-to-One Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oranjestad within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oranjestad?
+
On Outty we rank every Oranjestad experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Aruba Natural Pool and Indian Cave Rugged Jeep Safari, Island Jeep Safari with Natural Pool Baby Beach and Lunch, Aruba UTV Tour: Animal Garden, North Coast & Andicuri Beach. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oranjestad?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oranjestad?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
