    A beautiful all-day trip

We really enjoyed it; we were picked up very, very punctually in the morning and then collected the other guests before heading to the first stop. At each stop, everything was explained to us before we could explore everything on our own. We had the elephants with us; for us, it was the first time touching and feeding elephants. At the beginning, we prepared food for them and were then able to feed and touch them. The people who work there also explained everything to us (in English) and took photos in between. In the end, one received a QR code to download the pictures (all for free). We continued with the jeep through the jungle; it was very hilly, and one had to hold on well at times to avoid falling out. Lunch was included, but one had to pay for the drinks (unfortunately a bit too expensive). The tour lasted a total of 7 hours, and at the end, there was a water fight with the other jeeps, after which everyone was taken back to their hotel.

Adventure in the heights of Koh Samui

Very beautiful experience. Many spots to see. The visit to the elephant rescue center was really great! The only downside was the smell of diesel from the engine.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words! We’re delighted you enjoyed the many spots and especially the visit to the elephant rescue center. We sincerely apologize for the diesel smell from the engine — we will inform our operations team immediately to address and minimise this issue. If you have any further feedback or would like us to follow up, please let us know. We hope to welcome you back soon.

Jeep, rooftops, amazing lunch and great day!

This tour was amazing, would highly recommend to anyone! Loved all the experiences and we were able to take itinerary as needs dictated. We added on the elephant experience which was immersive, educational and so fun! Our guide was awesome, lunch was amazing (quick note drinks are not included) but great day! The view from the restaurant is also just breathtaking! Also riding on the top of the jeep so fun and thanks for picking up the rambutan fruit from the market for us try try, delish! Thanks for a great day!

Nice to have a good laugh...

Nice we had a good laugh with the water battle and the guides are cool. The sanctuary rescue not very ethical because we can touch them but well they look well treated

Response from the operator: Dear Caci, Thank you for your great review and letting us know you thought the guides were cool. The Elephants are very well treated. They had a terrible life taking people for years on their backs and now they have been rescued are never locked up and can roam freely in a safe sanctuary in Thailand. They get a delicious vitamin ball and fresh fruit salad breakfast every single day because of your kind visit. Kind regards, Mr Ung.

    Beautiful tour with small markel

In itself a very nice tour. The I Love elephant Samui stop was too touristy for us personally. Nevertheless, a very successful adventure, via sometimes very bumpy and narrow paths, to climb the mountain by jeep.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We are glad you had a successful adventure over the mountain top. And thank you for stopping to feed the sanctuary elephants. They are rescued from a life of cruelty and have 9 acres of jungle to roam around in. The visit helps to keep them fed and safe from harm. Kindness appreciated.

Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.

How much does Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $61 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.

Is Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Army Jeep Jungle Safari and Elephant Freedom Rescue Centre Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?

    +

On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Koh Samui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
