Ben was great guide, very enjoyable tour

Ben was a great driver and guide. There were 8 of us in small group tour. Started in Arles and Ben showed us highlights. Really nice Roman town where Van Gogh painted. Had time for coffee and walking around on our own. Had lunch in Les Baux, small medieval hill town. Found wonderful restaurant with great view. It is touristy, didn’t have time to go to castle. Ben gave option to visit quarry which one person went to and really enjoyed. Final stop was Saint Remy. Ben gave option to visit mausoleum where Van Gogh was put in. I went and really enjoyed seeing it and all the paintings he did in Saint Remy. It is a high end touristy town with shops and restaurants, not much to do. Only thing I didn’t like is they squeezed 8 people into van so someone had to sit in middle of front seat next to Ben. They should have max 7 in van. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that Ben made your day enjoyable and that you appreciated his knowledge, flexibility, and suggestions throughout the tour. It sounds like you made the most of your time in Arles, Les Baux-de-Provence, and Saint-Rémy, from discovering Roman history and Van Gogh’s connection to the region to enjoying lunch with a view and exploring the local sights at your own pace. We’re especially happy that the optional visits to the quarry and Saint-Paul-de-Mausole added something special to your experience. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the seating in the van. We understand that comfort is an important part of the experience, and we’ll certainly take your comments into consideration. Thank you again for your recommendation! We’ll be happy to share your kind words with Ben. We hope to welcome you again to discover even more of France: Côte d’Azur, Champagne, Burgundy, Normandy, Paris, Bordeaux or the Loire Valley. Best Regards, A LA FRANCAISE!

How much does Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence from Aix cost?

    +

Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aix-en-Provence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence from Aix take?

    +

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aix-en-Provence is not rushed.

Is Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence from Aix worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aix-en-Provence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence from Aix?

    +

Is Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence from Aix suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence from Aix?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aix-en-Provence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aix-en-Provence and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Aix-en-Provence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Aix-en-Provence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include An Aix-traordinary Walking City Tour of Aix-en-Provence, Cotes de Provence Wine Tour from Aix-en-Provence, Luberon Villages Half-Day Tour from Aix-en-Provence. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Aix-en-Provence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Aix-en-Provence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
