Originally from the region, I would make you discover the most beautiful places in the Alpilles in an exclusively private tour. You will start with a walking tour of the ancient city of Arles and its Roman monuments that have passed through time, the famous amphitheatre, the ancient theater.. You will then follow in the footsteps of the famous painter Vincent Van Gogh, who spent a long time in the city of Arles, and who painted many paintings there. You will visit the hospital where he was treated, the cafe where he had his habits... You will then go to the pretty village of Saint Remy de Provence. You will have free time to have lunch there. We will then go to the "Moulin Castelas", a magnificent olive grove, where you can taste local olive oil. Finally, you will end the day with the beautiful village perched on the Provence leases. You can stroll through its picturesque little streets, and admire the view of the surrounding limestone cliffs.

Excellent itinerary to get a good taste of 3 very different towns in Provence
Excellent itinerary. Anthony was very efficient in getting from venue to venue though offered minimal information about the sites. He easily worked in a visit to Carriere Luminaire - a sound and light show well worth seeing.

Thanks Anthony

Great day !
A memorable day with the family. The Roman monuments in Arles are simply incredible... Anthony, our guide, a local native, showed us the best spots. He is very well-organized and very courteous. We loved the medieval village of Les Baux-de-Provence. It was the best day of sightseeing during our Mediterranean cruise.

Roman Arles
We went to Arles because of its connection to Van Gough, but there are in fact hardly any! The Musee Reattu was unfortunately closed. I thought the Roman stuff might interest my teens, but sadly not. We were really affected by the high temperatures. We visited the arena, which is impressive, but didnt manage anything else due to lack of time and the heat. The little streets are pretty hard to navigate around even with G maps. We didnt manage to get to the tourist office but if the info from the equivalent in Marsielle is similar quality it will be really helpful.
Response from the operator: Hello Madam, I did not do any tours of Arles in August, neither I nor any of my partners on my behalf. I want to clarify that, for my part, I never leave my clients alone in the city of Arles, nor do my occasional collaborators who only rarely substitute for me. I am sincerely sorry that your experience went poorly, but unfortunately it has no connection to my business. You must have apparently made an error on the TripAdvisor page by not selecting the correct provider. I would therefore be grateful if you could remove your comment, which unfairly affects the quality of my work. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Anthony

Incredible Provence Tour with Tony
Tony took us on an unforgettable trip to the three cities of Arles, Saint Remy, and Beaux de Provence. He is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He provides an incredible tour experience and provides insider tips on how to see each city. Our favorite was Beaux de Provence which was a medieval city built into stones overlooking the Southern France. Tony also took us an olive oil tasting in between cities which was a fantastic experience. Ryan Rodrigues

Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aix-en-Provence.
How much does Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day cost?
+
Prices start at $1,085 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aix-en-Provence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aix-en-Provence is not rushed.
Is Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Aix-en-Provence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aix-en-Provence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aix-en-Provence and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Arles, Saint-Remy Provence and Baux de Provence on a private day start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aix-en-Provence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aix-en-Provence?
+
On Outty we rank every Aix-en-Provence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include An Aix-traordinary Walking City Tour of Aix-en-Provence, Cotes de Provence Wine Tour from Aix-en-Provence, Luberon Villages Half-Day Tour from Aix-en-Provence. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aix-en-Provence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aix-en-Provence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
