Base Camp Adventure, Simply the best trekking company to use

This was our second time with Base camp adventure. The first being in 2020 to Everest base camp. This Annapurna trek was incredible. Nepal is one amazing country. Base camp owner Shree arranged every detail with great hotels and transfers hassle free. Our guide and porter was Shiba and Bal, two excellent people and great representatives of Base camp company. The sights and mountains were unreal. Once in a lifetime trip. Both myself and my father got 24 hour bug on the trip and Shiba and Bal took care of us, beyond what we expected. Their hospitality was amazing. I watched as Bal guided and watched over my 70+ yr father when not well, more than he needed. I've not seen such respect in my own western culture. If you are booking, go with a Nepalase company like Base Camp Adventure. It supports local businesses but also they know the mountains and the culture so much more. We learnt so much from tis trip beyond the trek. We crossed loads of suspension bridges but the last was the biggest I've seen 300m+ long, over 200m in the air. We visited the hot springs at the end (bring a beer or two). Easily 38 Degrees water , clean clear by a glacier river running by. Truly relaxing after days on the mountain. The food along the way was great and Base camp adventure also arranged for us to have good accommodation even when it was busy. Nothing was to much for them. Annapurna the reason we went was just incredible. Read the history of this mountain before booking, it will entice you in even more. If we were to return a third time, Base Camp Adventure would be our choice. Absolute class care and attention to customer needs.

The best Solo trip I've ever had

I traveled alone in this trekking trip , It was incredible trip . All services are perfect for me , started from pick up at the airport on time to the hotel. My guide during trekking , his name is Dhakal Saroj , He is really good at his job ,very nice guy and friendly as well . He is not just lead a way but given clear brief and many useful advice, taking a photo for me . It's like the best services that I ever had. If anyone would like to go to the trekking trip in Nepal , I would recommend him to be your guide.

    Not Great

I was doing a solo trek in Himalayas for the first time for which I reached out to them for hiring a guide. While they were were friendly during the conversation and assured of an excellent guide, the actual guide provided was quite unprofessional. He would walk either far ahead or far behind ,e while I would walk alone .He would not take care of food arrangements as well while the other guides would do it for their clients. On one of the days, he would rude and also argued because he was getting late for reaching back to Pokhara. On highlighting it to the agency, they just listened and did not not even acknowledged and apologized for this. Will not recommend at all.

    Breathtaking Annapurna Base Camp

Hiking Annapurna Base Camp with Discovery World Trekking was an amazing experience for my family of four. Our guide Mansing was superb and lots of fun, and porters Kul and Nishan were helpful and very kind. Because of the monsoon rain that delayed our arrival to Nepal and affected our trip to Pokhara (as the highway was closed due to landslides and we had to book last minute flights), our porters were a day late starting the trek with my group but quickly caught up to us, hiking in the night and arriving at midnight. Despite all the turmoil in Kathmandu and surrounding areas, our adventure still went ahead with our guide's reassurance and great care along the way. The landscape was spectacular and the views stunning! The teahouses chosen by Discovery World Trekking were very comfortable and accommodating. We've done EBC five years ago and found the teahouses on ABC trek to be much nicer. Water and toilet paper become a commodity the higher up you get, so plan ahead and make sure you have paper and purifying tablets. We were very content with Discovery World Trekking as they were very responsive, informative and accommodating. Can't wait to return for a third time! Namaste 🙏 (Grace, from Australia)

Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.

How much does Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days cost?

    +

Prices start at $1020 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days take?

    +

Plan for about 216 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.

Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 216-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 216-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 9 Days start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pokhara?

    +

On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pokhara?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pokhara?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
