Beautiful Views, but Lacking Guidance
Overall, it was an average experience. The tour itself was enjoyable, with spectacular views throughout the journey. However, the snorkeling was quite average, mainly because the water was very murky and visibility was poor. There were also no snorkeling instructions or proper guidance provided before entering the water, which was disappointing for a tour that was supposed to include a guide. The schedule also felt too rushed. We were given just enough time to briefly see each place, rather than properly enjoy and explore them. Another important point is that there were no actual tour guides. In my opinion, the experience should be described more as transportation with meals rather than a guided tour. The staff interacting with guests did not speak fluent English, which is understandable since they were part of the ferry crew rather than professional tour guides. However, this was different from what we expected, as we had specifically booked a tour that included a guide. Most of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The only exception was the person responsible for giving instructions to the group. Their communication came across more as giving orders than actually guiding or assisting the group. Overall, the spectacular scenery was definitely the highlight, but the experience would be much better with a proper English-speaking guide, clear snorkeling instructions, more time at each location, and a more welcoming approach when communicating with guests.

Amazing views, great staff and lovely food!
The staff were fantastic and the trip was so well organized. The views were amazing and well worth the climb! Best to wear trainers/ walking shoes. The stairs were quite steep to the lagoon but again well worth it! The food was lovely too. Brilliant day out!

Trip cancelled. No word on refund.
Booking and payment for trip on Mon 16 Dec was accepted, but the trip was cancelled/postponed due to poor weather/closure of the marine park. An alternative date of Tues 17 Dec was proposed, which was also postponed/cancelled due to park closure for an additional day, even though the weather on Tues 17 Dec was actually quite good with the sun coming out in a long time. As I was returning on home on Wed 18 Dec, there was no alternatives. Subsequent inquires regarding refund have not been replied. Will update this review if they get back to me.

Beautiful views
Absolutely amazing day. We have visited the national park and hike the view point - it was tough but the view was magnificent. The food on the boat was very good and lots of drinks and coffee. Kayaking was exciting too. The staff was the best - helpful, organised and happy. Will do it again next time I am back on Koh Samui. Thanks guys

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official) cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official)?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Angthong National Marine Park by Highsea Tour (Official) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
