An awe-inspiring day at Ankor Wat
I don’t think we could have found a more knowledgeable and generous guide to show us the secrets of Ankor Wat. From making sure we had all the arrangements, to sharing so much information about this beautiful country, to a lunch fit for royalty, Sophon made sure not a detail was overlooked and left us with wonderful memories, unbelievable photos and a great reading list so we can learn more. Thanks for making this dream trip so special!!

Fantastic visit to Angkor Wat with best guide!
If you're visiting Angkor Wat, Tom is your guy! His knowledge of the temples and Cambodian history is exceptional, and he's genuinely passionate about sharing it - every question we had, he answered thoughtfully and enthusiastically. We never felt rushed and the visit was perfectly paced. We had two kids with us, and when they started flagging near the end of the day, Tom adapted the plan without us even having to ask. Small thing, but it made a big difference. It was also an incredibly hot day, and he and his driver had cold water and chilled towels ready between each site. Small detail, but it made a huge difference and showed their hospitality! Fantastic guide and highly recommended!

Hard to imagine a better guide than this.
We debated beforehand (via WhatsApp) in detail, about how we'd like to spend our 3 days in/around SIem Reap. Ra had been recommended to us by our neighbours. He turned out to be a very knowledgeable guide, full of good humour and interesting explanations of local culture and daily lives. Several times we made adjustments to the original plan, and this didn't seem to upset him at all. As a result we came away feeling that we had made the most of our 3 days, without feeling exhausted!

An unforgettable tour of Angkor Wat
We had a great day exploring Angkor Wat with Makara. He’s super friendly, easy to get along with, and really knows his stuff. He explained the history in a way that was interesting and easy to follow without ever feeling like a lecture. What we appreciated most was how he planned everything—timing it to avoid the crowds and showing us some really good photo spots. It made the whole experience feel much more relaxed and enjoyable. He was also very flexible with the pace and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day, which we really appreciated in the heat. Would definitely recommend booking with Makara if you want a personal and enjoyable Angkor Wat experience!

Why this scores 57

Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Angkor Wat One Day Special Sunrise Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap, 2 Days Guided Historical Tour in Angkor, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
