Disappointing service
We paid for a five stop itinerary with a paid admission to the pantheon and stopping at most places for 30 minutes.. A few days before the tour we got a what’s app message saying it is not a private tour and is a semi private and if we agree to it. We agreed as no issue with more people. They never mentioned a change in the stops and we have all of the messages. When we get to the tour, they only take us to the four free admission stops and not the pantheon. Also each stop was 5-10 minutes. When I ask for a partial refund since we did not go to one place the tour company says I agreed to the change and we went on the tour so can’t ask for a refund.. There is nowhere in the messages where we agreed to the itinerary change. Also Viator app still had the five stops listed on the itinerary. I asked them to show me where I agreed to the change in messages with no response. I also stated how would we know they removed one stop without going on the tour. Again no response. I contact Viator and they say someone will get back to me and still no contact. I have used Viator a lot and never had one bad experience. This is changing my opinion on them as well. I can provide all what’s app messages where it just shows agreeing to semi from private. We would have asked for a cancellation if we knew the itinerary changed.
Response from the operator: We are sorry to read this review, but we would like to clarify that some of the information provided does not accurately reflect what happened during the tour. First and foremost, the Pantheon was **not simply “skipped” as a scheduled stop**, as stated in the review. The description of the tour provided here does not accurately reflect how the itinerary was conducted. Regarding the WhatsApp communication before the tour, the message concerned the change from a private tour to a semi-private tour. This was specifically about the format of the experience and should not be interpreted as an agreement to remove a stop from the itinerary. We are always happy to review the complete communication history and the details of the tour in order to clarify any misunderstanding. We believe it is important that any concerns are addressed based on the actual facts and the full context of the communication. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, but we cannot agree with the statement that the Pantheon was simply omitted from the tour as described in this review.

Amazing personalized walking tour that goes far beyond the title!
Ask for Marcello! This was a great tour. Our guide, Marcello personalized the tour and went far beyond to show us much more than just the book/movie sites. Marcello was amazing, he was a wealth of knowledge and showed a great passion and pride for the history of his city and people. He took the time to cater the experience to us and showed us so much more than just the title of the tour. We spent multiple days in Rome and saw many sites across multiple tours. So much to see in Rome. Don’t miss this one! So much more than the title, thank you Marcello!

Fantastic experience.
Fantastic experience. Our guide Camilla knows a lot about both art and history and knows how to tie it together with the movie/book. Great experience for both 2 adults and a 15 year old. If you have seen the movie and/or read the book it is the perfect Rome experience.
Response from the operator: Thanks for choosing us! Hope to meet you next time in Rome!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Angels and Demons Tour in Rome: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Angels and Demons Tour in Rome cost?
+
Prices start at $339 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Angels and Demons Tour in Rome take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Angels and Demons Tour in Rome worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Angels and Demons Tour in Rome?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Angels and Demons Tour in Rome suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Angels and Demons Tour in Rome?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Angels and Demons Tour in Rome start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
