What you'll see and do
Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park
Discover the breathtaking beauty of Ang Thong National Marine Park on this wonderful day trip! On this tour, you will explore caves and tunnels by kayak and snorkel the underwater world in these stunning islands which inspired the book and screenplay The Beach. Before you begin kayaking, your tour guide will give you an introduction on how to manoeuvre your kayak. The kayaking tour begins at the southern end of the island Ko Mae Ko, eventually reaching the sandy shores of the island. Once ashore, the sightseeing part of the adventure begins with a tour of the Green Lagoon or Emerald Lake, hidden saltwater in the middle of the island. Back to the boat and time for lunch: a delicious buffet selection of Thai dishes! As you enjoy your lunch, the boat will take you through gorgeous scenery from Ko Mae Ko to the northern end of the Marine Park, with Ko Tai Plao the destination for your second kayaking tour. Your tour guide will take you through natural tunnels, amazing caves and along beautiful rock formations. Last, but definitely not the least, is an opportunity to experience the colourful underwater world by snorkelling around Ko Tai Plao! While enjoying the various activities on the tour, you just might be lucky enough to witness whales, dolphin pods, and monkey troops on the islands. Aside from the scheduled activities, you'll have ample time to relax and just enjoy the scenery or waters around the boat.

Best Tour in Samui.
This was the best tour of our trip. The red dragon was a spacious boat and the staff were great, all spoke clear English. On board the seating area for all passengers was spacious, a full day bed to relax on and by the end of the 10 to 12 hour trip, was much appreciated. Snorkeling and kayaking was great. The boat moved slowly around some of the 42 islands that make up Ang Thong National Park. The food was plentiful and drinks, help yourself. Caught the sunset on our leisurely way back to Samui. A perfect day.

They did not comply. They didn't contact us. We still have no news the next day
They came to pick us up, we couldn't see Ang Thong which was our last excursion before returning home and unfortunately we left without knowing these wonderful islands Upon contracting it, we receive confirmation with guidelines for collection. We were waiting for an hour but they didn't come and we didn't have any contact to call. We continue, the next day, without hearing anything from them. I hope that at least we get our money back but we have nothing insured...

Awesome journey.
Went on a wonderful trip on 3rd July 2023 with a group of dedicated and professional team led by Ron. Ron top priority is to ensure all guest on board are safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. He is very informative and detail person. Ron and his staff members are extremely friendy, very approachable and helpful. We had a wonderful time on board and will surely recommend this to all our friends and relatives who are visiting Koh Samui. Keep up the good works guys! Thumbs up!

False Description - Not worth the money
I had purchased this tour with high expectations given the prices I paid for the ticket. From the moment I got onto the boat I was completeley let down by false information in the description. Description claimed to have max 15 travellers- NOT the case. More like 80. No introduction of how to manoeuvre your kayak or guide. Instead you has 10 minutes of kayaking in total where guides rushed to get you into the kayak and you have to figure it out for yourself. We kayaked from one beach to another disgusting beach with all washed up rubbish. There was no snorkling with viability, beach wasn't even nice. Tour guides has snorkling gear in a box and said take some if you want to go.No further direction here. Definitely didn't see no whales let alone any fish at all! The boat was extremely slow. Took forever to get to the islands. Once we were on the boat I found out that there was other people who paid $30 AUD for their ticket. Disappointing to know this tour merges with other cheaper tours and my $113 AUD was wasted for nothing. Only good thing was the lunch provided was very tasty.

Full day fun in Ang Thong Park
The trip was very well organized and the staff very friendly. There was plenty of time for snorkeling and visiting of view points on islands. There was also scheduled time for kayaking but unfortunately the weather changed by the end of the day and we had to come back to the boat after only a short time on kayak. We had also a very nice surprise on the way back. Our captain parked the speed boat right on our beach so we were “home delivered” 😄 We recommend this trip as one of the “must do” while on Koh Samui.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ang Thong Marine Park: Full-Day Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
