We begin this journey doing the international rout N°7 with the imposing view of the Potrerillos Dam. The next point on the route will be Uspallata; former pre-Hispanic settlement of aboriginal Huarpe people and now current head village of this mountain route. From this point, the southernmost of the Inca Empire, we go to the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas and the former Penitentes ski resort. Further along our rout, we’ll come to Puente del Inca, a unique natural rock formation, surrounded by thermal springs, that looks like a bridge over Las Cuevas River. A few kilometers away, located at 2750 m, is the viewponit of the Colossus of the Americas, which with its 6962 m, receives visitors from all over the worldwho wants to reach its summit. Finally we will arrive at Las Cuevas villa, located at 3200 m. to have our lunch and tour one of the authentic villages of our country. *Argentinian passangers, please remember you will be charged in US Dollars from Viator.

    Shady Company

The trip was fine, guide and driver were excellent, but this company plays loose with the rules. After I paid for the trip, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional amount for “lunch.” That additional amount was $30USD, which, it turns out, was the price of a bowl of risotto and a small glass of wine. When I questioned the amount, I was told that they “upgraded” the trip and that was why they added the charge for lunch. Shady company, and I paid, but wasn’t happy about it.

Response from the operator: Hello Stephen! Thank you for your comment! We're sorry once again that you couldn't see the real upgrade that we did to our Aconcagua Experience Trip where we offer a much more complete experience for passangers to visit our Cordillera de los Andes, cause we love to care for details and our people. Hope you can come back one day to visit us in our office so we can show you all the beautiful differences and details that make our Aconcagua Experience unique from other agencies and you can take a really nice memory from Mendoza. We hope you can come again soon! Thank you!

    Geology Field Trip!!

We had so much fun! My cousin and I went with a group of other ladies celebrating the 50th anniversary of the graduation from high school, and they were a hoot! Our guide was fluent in both Spanish and English, and was extremely knowledgeable about the area we toured. I work on complex water supply and water quality issues in the Western U.S., and it was fun to learn how similar issues (reservoir management, dredging, flooding, mining, deep regional groundwater contributions to the runoff flow) are handled upstream of Mendoza. The history of the railroads-government-economics and how it impacted travel and the existence of small towns along the tracks was fascinating. We had clear skies and some snowy mountains on the way up, and a snowstorm chased us back down the mountain after we had a chance to see all the things and eat a satisfying lunch. We had just visited a museum the previous day that showed Darwin's maps of the region (making my geologist heart very happy), so it was great to see the mountains and outcrops he had described. It was perfect.

Response from the operator: Hello Michelle! Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! We're thrilled you and your cousin had a great time with us. It’s awesome that you enjoyed learning about Mendoza’s water and environmental challenges, especially with your background. The railroad history and those stunning mountain views really do add something special to the experience! We’d love to welcome you back for more adventures soon :)

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mendoza.

How much does Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca cost?

    +

Prices start at $87 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mendoza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mendoza is not rushed.

Is Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 435 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mendoza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca?

    +

Around 152 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mendoza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mendoza and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Andes Day Trip from Mendoza Including Aconcagua, Uspallata and Puente del Inca start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mendoza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mendoza?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mendoza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include High Mountain, Aconcagua and Inca Bridge, Andes High Mountain full day Tour, Horseback riding and roast in the mountains of Mendoza. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mendoza?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mendoza?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
