    Amazing!

Amazing experience. This is a tour that's a great combination of history and beauty, and definitely worth it. Giorgos was a great driver and I had a great time talking with him. Very intelligent and you'll learn alot from him on the trip. I consider this a must do if you're visiting Greece.

Mr. George is too hip to be square

Mr. George is a brilliant guide who doesn't just show you where history happened, but explains how it all connects to everything happening today—and makes you laugh out loud while doing it. Mr. George is immensely knowledgeable and profoundly engaging. I cannot recommend him highly enough for anyone who wants their history served with intellect, relevance, and a delightfully wicked wit.

A sampling of sites in great comfort

We had a wonderful day touring some of the most amazing historic sites of this part of Greece. Our driver/guide, Giorgios, was extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken, courteous, and an excellent driver. He made our experience very comfortable and we learned so much from him—my partner nicknamed him “the professor” because of his comprehensive knowledge—but he also allowed us to sit quietly and absorb what we were seeing. Each of the sites we visited would warrant a full day’s exploration but this trip gave us a taste of each. Highly recommended!

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
