About this experience
Begin your half-day tour with a private pickup from your Athens hotel or other accommodation. Hop inside your comfortable, air-conditioned executive car or minivan and admire the scenery as you travel along the coast to Corinth. Stop to see the Corinth Canal, the narrow, 19th-century canal that links the Saronic Gulf of the Aegean Sea with Ionian Sea. Take snaps here and then continue to the archaeological site of ancient Corinth, an important trading city in Greek and Roman times that stood at the meeting point of southern and northern Greece. Here, explore the ruined temples, bathhouse, forum and theater, and see the bema — a stone platform where it’s believed St Paul once stood in front of gathered judges. Continue to Acrocorint on top of the hill. As you stroll around the sun-baked relics, stop to soak up wonderful views over the Saronic Gulf in the distance. Afterwards, make an optional stop for lunch, where you can taste Greek traditional dishes and enjoy a local wine.

So good we asked for him by name!
Completed our second command performance with Theo after arriving back to Athens from Turkey for a last minute additional day of history. Ancient Corinth museum is a must see and look for the WW2 battle of Corinth canal memorial if you can find it!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Always at your service.

Thanks Theo - see you again next summer!
Magical day in the Corinth Acropolis (you shd explore the museum first before wandering about the ruins) the castle fort (sneakers with friction soles or trekking shoes are a must) and the awesome Corinth canal. Lunch spot was an ideal end to a memorable trip. We would strongly recommend our guide Theo T. He’s a long time Athens resident, great sense of humour and very experienced with local life - esp the local traffic.

A magical day trip to Corinth
Our trip today with Theo was outstanding. What a gracious and charming host. He was knowledgeable and welcoming. We had a wonderful experience. His command of the English language was superb( Attn: Peter)! The whole group felt that the beautiful architecture and history was made much more enjoyable because he was our host. He also took us to a beautiful spot on the water for a sumptuous Greek seafood lunch! It will be a most memorable day in Greece because of Theos! Randy Gould Va Beach,Va

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ancient Corinth - Acrocorinth & Corinth Canal Private Half-Day Trip from Athens start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
