An exceptional experience with Go Trek Morocco

I go trekking with Go Trek Morocco every year, and after this new experience, I wouldn't change it for anything in the world! The organization is always perfect, with exceptional, professional, and attentive guides, a wonderful team of muleteers, and an absolutely incredible kitchen team. Delicious meals, perfectly mastered logistics, and above all, a human, warm, and attentive team. Once again this year, we had a magnificent experience in the heart of the High Atlas, amidst grandiose landscapes, encounters, and moments of sharing. Go Trek Morocco has become my must-do appointment in Morocco. I recommend it without any hesitation and I will come back again! ❤️🏔️

An amazing walk through the beautiful Atlas Mountains with guide Lahcen

This 4 day walking trip through Berber villages and rugged terrain will be a highlight forever. Lahcen is an exceptional guide. He has a gps brain, he is extremely patient and knowledgeable. As a mountain guide he needs to assess his clients‘ abilities and preferences. Lahcen met my son and me and realized that we needed to discuss options for a walk that was both feasible for me and still interesting and challenging for my son. Lahcen pulled it off, a remarkable experience for us! He explained Moroccan culture and traditions and shared personal insights. He has a great sense of humor, especially when he carried me through a river bed! The cook and mule handler was wonderful, too. I highly recommend doing this or other trips with Lahcen. Oh, and he is fluent in Berber, Arabic, French and English!

Response from the operator: Dear [Claudia], Thank you so much for your wonderful and thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to me. I am very happy to hear that you and your son enjoyed the 4-day trek through the Atlas Mountains. It was a real pleasure to guide you both and to share this special experience together. Every group is different, and I always do my best to adapt the itinerary so that it is both enjoyable and suitable for everyone — I’m glad we found the perfect balance for you. Your kind words about my guiding, as well as your appreciation of our culture and traditions, are deeply appreciated. I believe that these moments of exchange and connection are what make each trip unique and memorable. I will also pass your compliments to our cook and mule handler — they will be very happy to hear this! Thank you again for your trust and recommendation. I hope to welcome you and your family back to Morocco for another adventure in the future. Warm regards, Lahcen

Very good time with our guide Lahcen. Hiking around Imlil overlooking the Toublak, he knew how to take the time with our children from 5 years to 9 years

Response from the operator: Merci beaucoup Yoann, J'espère de vous voir la prochaine fois. A très bientôt

An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains cost?

+

Prices start at €173 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marrakech: 1 Day Tour-Best of Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys, 3 Days Merzouga Desert Tour from Marrakech with Luxury Camp, Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Waterfall + Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains?

+

Included: Private transportation; Lunch; Dinner; Breakfast; and Guide / Cook / Mules and Muleeters. Not included: Alcoholic beverages; Travel insurance; and Tipping. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains include hotel pickup?

+

Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 343 listed pickup locations in and around Marrakech. Be ready about 20 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.

What languages is An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains offered in?

+

It is offered in Arabic, English and French. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for An adventure through the Berber villages and the Mountains?

+

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
