Great Option for Historical Sight-Seeing Tour

My historical sight-seeing tour was phenomenal. It started right on time and went smoothly. The group's guide, Christian was very friendly, down to earth, and extremely helpful. I was in a very small group but he still made sure everyone kept up, both with walking and with the tour. Christian was incredibly informative for the whole two and a half hours we spent walking and exploring. It was a bit of a chilly and slightly windy day, which meant not too many crowds to walk through. Even if the streets were very busy, I think the tour would definitely still be worth the price. This tour is an outstanding option if you spend your trip in this area of Amsterdam, and want to know a little more about the history.

Response from the operator: Thank you for such a thoughtful review. I’ll make sure Christian sees it - he’ll be very glad to read it. A chilly, windy day is not Amsterdam at its most welcoming, so I’m especially glad you had such a good time. Anastasia

    Fantastic introduction to Amsterdam

We had a great walking tour with Christian. The tour covered history of the city, hidden spots we wouldn’t have found on our own & yummy tastings. It was lovely to spend our first morning in Amsterdam wandering around the city, hearing interesting stories. Christian tailored the tour to our interests & gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip. Would highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Vickie, thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re really glad that Sightseeing Tour with Christian made your first morning in the city special. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the mix of history, hidden spots, tastings, and personal recommendations — and that Christian tailored everything to your interests. We’d be very happy to see you again — in Amsterdam or in our other destinations: Morocco, Serbia, Portugal, Belgium, and Hungary. And don’t forget, you now have a 10% discount on all our tours.

    Great tour and snacks

Great tour, and really nice tour guide (Christian). Learned about Amsterdam, saw the key sights, and learned about several interesting places (the hidden gems) that if we had been there on our own without a good tour guide we would have walked right by without noticing. The cheese and stroopwafels were good too.

Response from the operator: Dear Matthew, Thank you so much for your kind words! Christian is happy you enjoyed “Your Own Amsterdam. A Sightseeing Tour with Main Highlights + Secret Locations + tastings + One-Day Amsterdam Itinerary”. He sends his warm greetings to you and hopes to see you again in Amsterdam or maybe in Belgium, Portugal, Morocco, Hungary, or Serbia. Warm regards, Anastasia

    Birthday Holiday for Two 🧀 ☕️ 🚶‍♀️

Christian was top class! We were blessed with a private tour for 2! He matched our vibe right away and he answered even the curve ball questions! Walking and talking is exhausting but we saw so much and learnt a lot! 👣 We tasted cheeses, learned history, walked almost 5000 steps, saw so many interesting things! Then after all that we sat and enjoyed a coffee while he gave up tips for dinner and more exploring! 😊

Response from the operator: Dear Natasja and Elizabeth, Thank you both so much for your amazing review! Christian was absolutely delighted to spend the day with you — he said your energy made the whole walk fly by. We’re so glad you enjoyed “Your Own Amsterdam. A Sightseeing Tour. Main Highlights + Secret Locations + 3 tastings + One‑Day Amsterdam Itinerary (PDF)”! And just so you know: after your first tour with us, you now have a 10% discount on all future tours — in the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Morocco, Hungary, or Serbia. We’d love to see you again, wherever your travels take you.

Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amsterdam Sightseeing Tour + Hidden Gems + Tastings + PDF guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
