What you get

    About this experience

This 2 1/2 to 3 hour during informal non mass tourism (no commercial giftshop visits:-) Dutch landscape Tour is unique because you will see the best of different Amsterdam Tours combined in one bike tour.  The keywords for this relaxing bike tour are : 3 windmills, a (cheese)farm visit (Holland cheese cup winner where we drink milk straight from the cow/cheesetasting Tuesdaymorning, Wednesday afternoon, Friday & Saturday) houseboats, Amsterdam Castle (photostop), skinny bridge, forts, Dutch houses and the Amsterdam defence line.  We pass by a Jewish cemetery and WW2 remains too. Important note: we use bike saddle gel covers to protect your butt:-) from pain.  Your born and raised Amsterdam guide is fluently in English but also speaks understandable German, Spanish and Portugese. Money back guarantee if you aren't able to take pics with just you and that stunning windmill on that pic (no other people at the background). USP's: safe, quiet and wide bike paths!

    Windmills with a loc

Remco/Rubio grew up in the area and knows all of the fabulous spots and history. Our favorite stop was a family owned cheese shop where we were able to taste fresh milk and cheese. We were supposed to bike today but it was pouring rain so he offered to drive us in his nice car. We were glad to still be able to see the windmills and scenery. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Jessica for the nice review. Have a nice stay in Amsterdam

Nice bike ride in the countryside of Amsterdam

Solo bike tour with local Dutch guide, Rubio. Good communication and met up at Weesp which is just 18 minute train from central station. We biked about 3hours: brown cafe, pass by the castle, see several windmills. One windmill actually spinning with sails. Drank fresh milk and had good cheese. Very pleasant 😎

Response from the operator: Thanks Jim for nice company. Hope to see you again for the boat tour next year. All the best. Kind regards, Rubio

Beautiful day exploring the countryside! The weather was perfect and we had lots of stops to rest, hydrate and learn some history.

Response from the operator: Thank you Kate and the family. Much appreciated to leave me this nice review. Kind regards from small Amsterdam

    Weesp bike and windmills

What a great way to see and the stunning countryside. Weesp is a pretty town to enjoy lunch or a drink by the river after the tour. We had perfect weather and a very knowledgeable guide. Easy flat ride.

Response from the operator: Thank you Australia <3

Incredible sight seeing and experience the cheese is the bomb!

Remco was a great guide! Had some trouble finding a correct bike for me as I’m short, but he made it happen! The tour was great and we saw everything as promised. Remco is very knowledgeable about the history of the region and the water management systems (canals/windmills/dikes). Great way to see something outside of Amsterdam!

Response from the operator: That was a great tour Gil. If you ever come back again, pls give me a shout. Warm regards from the outskirts.

Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour?

    +

Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amsterdam Landscape Windmill Private Bike Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
