Beautiful Cameron Highlands 🥰

My friend and I had Siva as our guide and driver. He turned up early to pick us up which was great and we were ready. He then drove us from KLCC towards Cameron Highlands. We had a brilliant tour visiting the beautiful waterfalls, the strawberry farm, the lavender farm, the markets, the tea plantation fields and the Chinese temple. In each place we took our time and there was no hurry. Siva also took us to a place to have a lovely lunch (not included but the Chinese food we had was divine). Admired Siva for his experience navigating the winding turns up the Cameron Highlands. Appreciated him navigating the horrendous horrendous KL traffic which built up going home. Recommend this tour as the sights and natural scenery ☺️☺️☺️. PS the climate in Cameron Highlands is very very cool so bring something long sleeved and maybe jeans.

Siva is the perfect tour guide

Siva is the perfect tour guide if you’re traveling with family and kids. Super flexible, exact on time, never rush with anything, give you an ample amount of time to see your favorite attractions. One of the best tour guide I’ll travel with. Thank you Siva.

Worst tour I've ever done

This tour was the worst I’ve ever been on, for two reasons: the tour services and the destination. The Tour: This is advertised as a guided tour through tea plantations and other cute destinations. It is not. It is simply a driver, no tour or other information – and the driver was awful. He didn’t know which destinations we were supposed to go to, we had to tell him multiple times. He kept looking at google maps or checking with his boss that he was in the right place and still got lost several times along the way or wasn’t sure how to access the attractions at our stops. We were starving by the time lunch came around 7 hours after our tour start and he seemed confused and annoyed when we asked if we could have water. He drove so fast and erratically that we got nauseous several times. Additionally, his English was quite poor, so it made it even more difficult to communicate about these confusing aspects. Other reviews seem to mention a nice guide that takes you around. This was not our experience at all, it felt like they didn’t have anyone available, and they got a random driver to fill in and who had no idea what was going on. The destination: Cameron Highlands is advertised as a nice tea planation tour with some nice nature stops. Each stop was misleading or disappointing. The lavender garden is a small flower garden that you have to pay to get into. The butterfly garden is more like a small zoo that clearly doesn’t treat its animals very well. And you have to pay to get into it. The market is small and filled with the same knock off items at any market in the area. The strawberry farm is a mostly dirt patch with hydroponic strawberries that you have to pay to pick yourself. The tea plantation was the most disappointing. There was no tour or information, it is simply a small visitor centre with a lookout point for pictures. The traffic in Cameron Highlands is also unbearable. All stops are located within a few kilometres of each other, and it still took hours to navigate because of the congestion. We knew it would be a long drive from KL to the Highlands, but didn’t expect how bad it would be when we got there. The whole tour took a little over 12 hours and 9 of them were spent sitting in the car. In summary, the tour description and services were misleading and poorly executed, and Cameron Highlands proved to be a massive waste of time and money. Zero stars and a refund if I could.

Day trip to Cameron...

Day trip to Cameron Highlands was excellent! Tour stops were appropriate time at each. The butterfly garden has much more than butterflies which was great! If you are looking for a walking tour of the Boh plantation, you will not be able to do that on this trip due to timing. But you will get to do factory tour and sampling if you would like. Our driver/guide Mr Balan was great! He showed us lots of local spots and food and even got us some durian on the way back! Highly recommend!

Great Day Trip!

Patrick was such a great guide! He was very prompt and really tried to make the most of our time in the highlands. He gave me really interesting historical information and made I was getting the full experience at each stop. Such a great way to spend the day out of KL!

Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.

How much does Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur cost?

+

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.

Is Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amazing Cameron Highland Day Tour From Kuala Lumpur start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
