Perfect Amalfi Coast Tour
My husband and I had a private tour. Carlo was our driver. He knew the history, shared interesting information, stopped at the all the key locations, took pictures, made lunch recommendations and reservations. It was an amazing day and I couldn’t recommend this service enough. It was so enjoyable and reliable.

Amazing drive through the Amalfi Coast
Our guide Francesco was great from the beginning. He was on time picking us up from our hotel. Very knowledgeable. He explained everything to us as we were driving around the coast. Stopped in Positano…breathtaking views. Ravello and Amalfi all of it was magical. He stopped at a beautiful restaurant that he had called in advance and made reservations for us. The views and the food were absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful driver and Tour Guide
We had a wonderful tour with Francesco from Naples through the Amalfi Coast. He gave us wonderful information and tips during the day, which helped us enjoy our day even more. We stopped at many scenic outlooks and ate at great restaurants, all recommended by Francesco. He was a very safe driver, and we enjoyed our conversations with him. We did a full day tour from Naples to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, and we couldn't recommend him enough. Thank you for a great tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review. It was great to spend time with you and I'm happy I could give my contribute to your successful visit here! See you back in the area sooner than later.

A beautiful customized itinerary!!
Francesco met us in Naples early morning, accommodating a short notice request to visit the Amalfi coast. We took an opposite route to avoid high traffic areas, whenever possible. We had coffee along the way, his treat, to experience rural Italy…… onto Ravello with recommendations for the best places to visit. He gave us an hour in Ravello to visit Villa Cimbrione. We then made our way to Positano & Sorrento, having a late lunch in Sorrento at a local Italian eatery….. the eggplant parmigiana was exceptional. He provided a great deal of history & and very unique insight into life in Italy and the secret honking codes of drivers. He gave us the choice to return to Naples by car….. a 2 hour drive versus a short 30 minute ferry ride, which he purchased for us. This was such a fun private trip……. we will definitely request Francesco when we return to Italy!!!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your descriptive review with all details. You made me relive the day with you! Lol I hadn't seen this before so only replying now. So happy to have left a good memory and look forward to seeing you back in the area. Grazie!

Multi-Day tour of Amalfi Coast
Multi-Day tour of Amalfi Coast with Francesco Marrapese. We had an easy pickup at the train station in Naples and headed on our way to our hotel in Sorrento stopping for a tour of the Herculean after a fantastic lunch along the way. Francesco got us a wonderful guide, and we were off for a two-hour tour with this amazing historian who demonstrated a real passion for the events of 88bc. Wonderful experience, crowds were lighter than Pompeii and the site is so well preserved. A++ Amalfi coast drive with Michelle. Michelle picked us up at 8 AM and we were off down from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Leaving at 8AM was perfect as it meant that we were always about one hour ahead of the crowds. With the small van we were able to go into areas that big buses cannot go. The scenery was breathtaking and always an easy walk down and pickup at the bottom, we had a lovely lunch in Ravello. Amazing view and the seafood dishes were phenomenal. Back to our hotel at 5PM. What a wonderful tour. For our next Day, we toured an olive oil farm getting ready for the harvest in a few days. Small family run farm and wonderful tasting. We went for a multi-course lunch at Fattoria Terranova an agritourismo restaurant in the hills above Sorrento. This was a fabulous meal and they also have a cooking school. On our last morning, Michelle transferred us to the Naples airport. We can't say enough about Francesco and his amazing associates.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your positive experience with us. Great to read all of our team took good care of you and contributed to a memorable experience. Grazie!

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road cost?
+
Prices start at $1066 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amalfi Coast - The scenic drive along the most breathtaking road start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
