Terrible Terrible service, cancelled baot , no refunds
CAncelled the baot we paid for, refused a refund at the booth. Told ne I had to contact them by email , been over a month now and still nothing so having to go through my bank. SAve yourself a load of hassle and use some else , stranded us in Positano without a care in the world and then just ignored all the emails for refunds. Awful awful company

Grassi Junior is a scam
This operator is a disaster. The boat was VERY tiny and a 30m trip from Sorrento to Positano was a nightmare and took nearly 1 and half hours. At times we thought the boat would flip. It cost 750 euros! For the return I suggested the boat was too small - they wanted to charge another 750 euros to upgrade to a larger boat. Do not trust this operator.

Be careful of what is originally offered
Our hotel booked our private boat trip along the Amalfi Coast for the duration of four hours. The cost was €400 but when we got to the boat rental hut we were told that because it was windy it was best if we had a bigger boat but the cost would be €300 extra. As we were never going to do this again we decided we would go with it and pay the extra. When we were out at sea we saw other boats that were smaller than ours coping perfectly well with the waves. We were then not sure if the smaller boat was not available or whether it was just an excuse to make more money. The boat trip itself was well worth it as the views were spectacular but the beverages on board were only beer and water and for the price we paid we expected wine as well along with soft drinks.

Great experience! Would definitely recommend…
In comparison to most reviews here, our experience was great! We decided to book this 5 hour boat excursion last minute as Positano was so crowded the day we visited and this boat trip ended up being one of the highlights of our entire vacation. Our captain was Danilo and he was awesome especially with my mom who was terrified of being on the water.. he was really friendly and accommodating with all of us and definitely knew his way around the coast. He stopped and anchored a few times and we got to swim in beautiful spots around the Coast.. I would definitely recommend to do this as a private tour as u really get to see the coast in its beauty.. and of course ask for Danilo😉!

Why this scores 46
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano cost?
+
Prices start at $706 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amalfi Coast PRIVATE boat excursion from Positano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
