Wonderful trip with wonderful people

Me and my husband had fun! Dario and Rafaela was on time picking us up from our airport. They were very patient with us and catered to all our requests . Dario was excellent driver and Rafaela was very knowledgeable of the place. She even offered suggestions when we came from to Rome about restaurants and where to shop. They were always pleasant . We love exploring new places with them. I will always remember this trip!

Response from the operator: Hi Odessa, we're glad you had a wonderful day on the Amalfi Coast. Our staff always strives to provide the best in every way. Customer satisfaction is our priority. Take care and have a safe journey home.

Perfect day on the coast!

This is a perfect “escape” for a day from Rome to see a beautiful area in Italy. Our driver and English-speaking assistant were both prompt and gracious and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing both Amalfi and Positano. We were able to make a quick stop about halfway during the trip to and from Rome for snacks/restroom break, and Raffaella was a lovely tour guide - she gives lots of history of the area and suggestions on places to see in each town. She has so much knowledge of Rome and the coastal areas and also gave us some great suggestions for the remainder of our time on vacation! It was a nice break from the busy areas in Rome to see these coastal towns.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are always happy when we can give these feelings to customers. They also thank you for the pleasant company. Enjoy your holiday

Unforgettable Family Trip to the Amalfi Coast

My family and I were traveling to Italy for a short visit, and since we had never been to the Amalfi Coast before, we wanted a tour that was both private and convenient—something that didn’t require finding a meeting point or dealing with large crowds. I came across this private tour, and it was everything we were looking for. It included hotel pickup and drop-off, which saved us so much time, and we were driven in a spacious, luxury vehicle stocked with drinks. It made the experience feel seamless and comfortable. I can’t recommend this tour enough—it was worth every penny. The privacy and ease made it perfect for traveling as a family. Our guide, Raffaela, was incredibly sweet, spoke excellent English, and was very knowledgeable. The driver was equally wonderful—always kind, courteous, and made sure to open and close the doors for us at every stop. We even made a quick stop for gas and had the best espresso at a local spot. Our children enjoyed every moment of the trip, especially the scenic drive along the stunning Amalfi Coast. We would absolutely book again, especially since they offer a variety of other tours. This experience truly elevated our trip!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful words, they give us more satisfaction than the economic part. Raffaella and the driver Francesco, say thank you. We always try to offer the best to our customers. With all the attention they deserve. I hope to see you again soon too. Thank you

Great day trip

The driver and guide were exceptionally accommodating and nice. The guide took us everywhere personally and answered any questions we had, explained everything wonderfully and made us feel welcome.

Not good and was expensive.

Not great! No reason to have a guide since no sites where ever even called out , no help in acclimating to guidance at rest stops and they knew where we wanted to go in Positano for lunch and then did not get us there. It was a private tour and very disappointing!

Response from the operator: We are really surprised and sorry to receive your review. Our staff is always committed to providing the utmost professionalism and experience to our guests. We will take your comments into account to prevent a recurrence of such situations

Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome cost?

+

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amalfi Coast and Positano: Full Day Private Tour from Rome start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
