About this experience
What better way to experience Martha’s Vineyard – take a Jaws tour with us and you will have access to many of the films’ locations. You will hear many non-published stories about the filming, the actors, as well as being able to stop to take photos. The Jaws bridge is one of the top 5 attractions on the island. Jaws Factoids: - Although the movie is set in midsummer, producers began filming in early May 1974 to avoid an actors’ strike that was scheduled to begin July 1. - Jaws was marred with so many technical problems that the originally scheduled 55-65 day shoot ballooned into 159 days, not counting post-production. - Most highly anticipated movies were released around Christmastime, back then, but Spielberg took so long filming that the movie had a summer release date, which was traditionally reserved for low-end movies. - Townspeople of Martha’s Vineyard were paid $64 each for playing extras who ran across the beach and screamed during the shark attack scene.

Very thorough tour
We saw so many sights, and it was great to enjoy the tour with other fans. The tour guide incorporated history of the island along with the tour; the only thing slight drawback is that for a Jaws specific tour a real fan who can share new information or enthusiasm for the film would be great. The stop in Menemsha was beautiful; definitely grab lunch there if you can, it was fantastic!

Amazing Jaws tour! We were able to see the filming sites and learn about the island!
Incredible tour, we had such a great time!

Jaws Tour
Mac was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable regarding the area and Jaws. I had a wonderful time and it was an amazing experience. I would definitely do this tour again. Thank you so much Mac for making my tour memorable.

Historic Tour More Than a Jaws Tour
We really enjoyed our Jaws 4 hour tour! I'm not sure if calling it a Jaws Tour is accurate though. I'd call it a history tour of Martha's Vineyard with some Jaws information spread throughout. We loved our tour guide, Rich, and would highly recommend him to others!
via Tripadvisor
Our tour guide was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable! As a native of Martha’s Vineyard, he knew all the history!
Not only did our guide know a ton of fascinating information about Jaws and he was in the movie, he knew so much about the island itself. He knew also about the people living there, both famous in the real world, and famous just right here on Martha’s Vineyard. He made stops at local favorites. We learned so much and got to see everything on the island that I probably would never have gone to myself. We definitely recommend this tour.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Martha's Vineyard.
How much does All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Martha's Vineyard usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Martha's Vineyard is not rushed.
Is All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 55 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Martha's Vineyard, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Martha's Vineyard can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Martha's Vineyard and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does All New Shared Jaws tour Budget Friendly start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Martha's Vineyard within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Martha's Vineyard?
+
Martha's Vineyard, MA packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Martha's Vineyard by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Martha's Vineyard experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include #1 Best 3hr Martha's Vineyard shared Island Tour from Oak Bluffs, Best of Martha's Vineyard 3 hour Full-Island Tour, #1 Best Martha's Vineyard Private Tours for up to 6 people. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Martha's Vineyard?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Martha's Vineyard, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Martha's Vineyard?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
