A full day in Xian - the City sightseeing & Terracotta Warriors
Despite the August heat & crowds, we had a great tour with our guide Jackie. He suggested an early hotel start, which was very smart given how crowded the Terracotta Museum and 3 Pits can get in the high season. We were able to see them in early morning and get his excellent guidance with explanations in very good English. Jack was patient, attentive to both adult and children questions and allowed us to do the sightseeing at our own speed. Jackie was also very helpful with giving advice and assisting us with tourist questions about pharmacy or Chinese payments apps - a great guide on all fronts. The Xian city sightseeing part (a local lunch, the Xian City wall) were also very informative and well explained. Thank you for a great day in Xian!

Fantastic Tour Enhanced by a Knowledgeable English Speaking Guide
We took a fantastic private tour of the Terracotta Warriors Museum in Xi'an with Lily Sun China Tours. The tour was greatly enhanced by our guide, Shine. Shine spoke fluent English and was easy to understand. She was also very knowledgeable about the Terracotta Warriors and she provided context that we would not have otherwise received. We arrived in Xi'an by train. A Lily supplied driver met us at the train station and drove us to our hotel. Shine and our previous day's driver met us at our hotel the next morning. The driver stayed with the mini-van during our tour which gave us comfort that our luggage was safe and secure. We arrived early and spent about 3 hours at the museum. Given our time constraints, we arrived at the Xi'an train station in plenty of time to catch our train to Beijing. We would highly recommend Lily Sun China Tours in Xi'an, Chengdu and Beijing. We made inquiries with several other tour companies. Lily Sun was by far the most straightforward and accommodating. The price of the tour was competitive, neither the least nor the most expensive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Tour – Above and Beyond Service
Michael was an amazing tour guide, and the day we spent with him is one we’ll always remember. We happened to book our tour during the Qingming Festival without realising how busy it would be, but Michael handled everything brilliantly. He arranged earlier transport, helped us avoid long queues, and made what could have been a stressful, crowded day feel smooth and enjoyable. What really stood out was that Michael isn’t just knowledgeable about the history—he truly knows the area and how to navigate it efficiently. That made a huge difference to our overall experience. The itinerary was fantastic. We visited the Terracotta Warriors, and also had the chance to build our own terracotta models, which was a fun and unique touch (and a great souvenir to take home). Afterwards, he took us to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and gave us great insight into the Tang Dynasty. He also helped us book the Tang Dynasty evening show—securing discounted tickets and arranging transport both ways, which made everything completely hassle-free. Although the tour was expected to be around 8 hours, Michael spent over 12 hours with us without rushing anything. He genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Highly recommended—if you’re visiting, you’d be lucky to have him as your guide.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.
How much does All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $167 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.
Is All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does All Inclusive Private Terracotta Army Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Xian?
+
On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Xian?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Xian?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
