    Fantastic Tour with Nancy

Nancy was a brilliant guide. She spoke fluent English, which really helped us. Especially when our sunscreen was confiscated at the entrance to the Lama Temple. She suggested we start the day early to try and avoid some of the weekend crowds. Nancy also recommended and took lots of photos of my husband and myself for us - so no awkwardly angled selfies. Being a private tour was also great, as certain parts of the tour could be tailored to suit. Thanks for such a wonderful tour Nancy. We both had a fantastic time.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled Nancy’s fluent English brought you great convenience during your trip, especially when dealing with the sunscreen issue at the Lama Temple entrance. It’s such a thoughtful touch that she advised you to set off early to skip weekend crowds and patiently took plenty of nice photos for you and your husband, saving you from awkward selfies. We’re glad the private tour allowed flexible arrangements customized to your preferences. We will pass all your heartfelt thanks and praise to Nancy right away. Thank you for choosing our service, and hope you carry these beautiful travel memories with you! Best regards, Lily's Beijing Tours Team

    Fun day exploring Beijing

We had a lovely day exploring Beijing with Lucy. Lucy was very kind and spoke great English. She was very knowledgeable around all of the aspects we covered. We were lucky to see the Pandas awake and active. My only disappointment was we had to skip the lunch with a local family on the Hutongs but the rickshaw ride was fun

Response from the operator: Dear Pahorne, Thanks so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled you had such a great day exploring Beijing with Lucy, and that you got to see the pandas awake and active—such a fantastic highlight! Huge kudos to Lucy for her kindness, great English and deep knowledge of all the sites you visited; she made the day so enjoyable for you. We’re sorry the local family lunch in the Hutongs didn’t work out for you—that’s such a special experience, and we totally get the disappointment. So glad the rickshaw ride was a fun pick-me-up though! Thanks for choosing our tour, and hope these wonderful Beijing memories stick with you! Warm regards,

Very poor due to the guide's lack of good english and carelessness of safety

This private review for one adult and two children was spoiled by having a guide with very poor english. Linda's pronunciation was awful and we could not understand what she was saying. She was also careless of our safety crossing busy roads. The content of our trip was perfunctory. We cut the trip short and asked to be returned to our hotel. Very poor value for money. A good guide can make a memorable trip. Unfortunately this trip was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Would not recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your criticism and feedback. We accept it completely and also feel big shame about it. We will strengthen the English training for tour guides, improve our English proficiency and safety service awareness through learning. Looking forward to providing you with better service for your next trip. Regards lily

    Nancy’s Day Tour!

Nancy Cao was our guide… she was VERY funny and knowledgeable about all the places she brought us. We particularly loved the lunch items she chose at the family restaurant! The pandas were sooooo cute! Despite the crowds and the rain, she made it fun and we learned quite a bit. We would highly recommend Nancy for this tour.

All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
